  1. May well be D26 but It is the reason there is comment before his first game
  2. Are you sure we have the right story Redleg? Sounds to be like a user who is struggling to find a good vein!
  3. He is the one who makes this possible by saying he was only planning to be around 2 -3 years Paulrb. Without his comments there would be no talk.
  4. Mate you know you will most like miss the first round 1 win in years. I caught up with some old mates in the country last year it was great. We were all going to play hell but were home by 11.30 The ageing process bought us all back to earth with a thud. Enjoy the weekend.
  5. You have it correct IMO I have been working on this basis for some years. And is basically why I take everything they say with a grain of salt. The only way you can be almost certain of a players fitness is when he is named in the team.
  6. tm I know I was being overly simplistic with using my shoulder as an example. My view is that Dawes was out a lot last year with calf problems and has them this year before the season has started. In very simplistic terms that is a trend to me Clark is different but after nine months of resuming training ( i think he started back in June 2013, at one stage the club was saying he could have played the last couple of games ) he is still not joining the main training group. Looks more than the explanations to me. Now you can say I am pessimistic and you are probably right but experience has taught to take with a grain of salt anything the Football dept. says about injuries. I look forward to you being correct
  7. I tried hard to stay away from politicians but could not. I does to me if they are championing family values etc.
  8. Now this will sound like BS Bossdog but it is true The major reason I still have interest and go to training and games is Demonland. Without it I would have tossed it in a few years ago. One of the things about humans that never ceases to amaze me is that two people can watch the same thing and have two diametrical opposed opinions. Sound like Demonland? PS I have way more confidence than the last two years Bossdog!
  9. Yes and it amazing how often they turn out to be correct. Two recent ones for me are Ablett and Goddard, both said it half way through their last seasons and it turned out the decision to leave had well and truely been made at that point. We all know what the second language of the AFL is We just chose to ignore it when it suits us.
  10. I have no idea wyl but I have no doubt I qualify.
  11. I did not go but I can confidently predict that Dawes and Hogan will be in the outer with us in round 1
  12. To be honest FT IMO there are too many clubs now. The talent pool is stretched too far just look at the MFc list.
  13. You will know he is off when he says " I want to be a demon for life" until then I cling to hope.
  14. Are you coming down for the first game Deeoldfart?
  15. So far I have none from two Akum. first match I picked the whites and blues got up So the next time I went for the blues and the whites got up. As my wife would say "all in the life of a Dees supporter "
  16. Sorry I forgot that little lot
  17. I am with chippy I had to wash my hair this morning. Seriously I think there is an intra club match this friday so most would probably prefer to go to that.
  18. I was just commenting AD on the fact that some one said the Lions would be sad at losing Clark. Of course it was the right move for the MFC at the time. The problem is it has turned into a disaster. And who is happy now.
  19. dc lets not forget that free agency is a players union requirement. It is all about the free movement of players. If it was not for the AFL putting up some sort of fight we would have total free agency. The only people that gain from free agency are the rich and powerful clubs and the players
  20. Hi Reverend I never cease to marvel at your ability to shrug off 18 goal losses. You must have a mental shell as hard as a turtle.
  21. Wow Bossdog I feel like I am finally having my five minutes of fame at this tender age. Thank you I was beginning to think I would pass on without one. Your comment is fairly accurate I firmly believe that in my life time the best I can hope for is a MFC that is respectable and wins more than it loses. After nearly a decade at the bottom I think it will take the better part of a similar period to achieve my desired position. I hope you younger bodies can see more. I am sceptical about this year for two main reasons. - We have a list that has been changed in a small way but still has a long way to go - We are still short of experienced players to show the way and hold things together while the kids are developed. I expect that we will be better than last year but we would surely struggle to be worst. After the last half century the MFC has worn me down Bossdog you will just have to endure my scepticism.
  22. No The Pies sacked MM that was his big problem
