  1. I think this has a way to play yet RR The fat lady is not even in the room yet
  2. No way Deers we must win every game possible what difference does having a pick or too lower make? Winning is what makes the wheels go round. That is the reason I go, to see the MFC win games nothing more nothing less. Winning get it
  3. Clyde that is the most entertaining item I have read on Demonland all year. May you prosper for many more years. You have made my day Thank you.
  4. I have a question old55 If the management and Board have done all things well How come after 5 years we are effectively last with one genuine win and with the worst list in the competition? Or am I in the middle of a great big bad dream?
  5. Spot on this is IMO the major cause of our problems right now. That and a small problem created by our inabaility to recruit kids that are better than average.
  6. It will not be a surprise AD but it sure will be a giant kick in the Guts. In 2012 after five years of a rebuild and numerous high draft picks we should be beating the GCS by 10 goals
  7. Toni if you go back to the Days the Dees trained at the MCG it was when almost every side had their own surburban ground. The Dees and Richmond played every other week at the G so two games a weekend plus MFC training twice a week. Now we have on some weekends 3 games over three days. The MCG is the premium stadium that services a number of sides, the MFC being the lowest generator of money. I think you kidding if you think the MFC ( lowest generating club at the G ) should get special treatment. I think we are lucky we get to still play at the G. On a Financial basis we should be playing at the Dome of Death.
  8. I don't think it is quite as sick as you suggest jnr. It is financially viable However the powerful do rule but I am not sure that anything has changed in my 50+ years of following the AFL. My biggest complaint about the AFL is that there are too many teams. IMO - the talent pool is stretched to far there are not enough good players to go round eg.the MFC. - There are always going to be 3 - 4 teams who will be easy beats that will have their seasons over in May. - having more than 14 teams is IMO unworkable
  9. Very simple rjay we need the AFL way more than they need us.
  10. Oh how I wish he was the President of the MFC
  11. On this time scale I will watching down from a better place mate. Have one for me cfh
  12. No DC 2000 think everything is going to plan. I did not think anyone was going to pick it up.
  13. You are not on your own DD you have 33402 members feeling very much the same
  14. BB I have no inside knowledge. Just the timing is interesting I was however at a function on the weekend and someone raised the subject of Football that progress to the MFC This is Long before Monday night. This person is involved in the media at a production level ( not a commentator or journalist ) I asked why so many in the media seem to have it in for the MFC. The response was they have a very strong dislike for a high up official. When I pursued this all I got was smiles and No comment. Clearly the likes of Venom Denham have someone at the MFC in the Gun. As I said Interesting timing.
  15. Don't you mean 8 If they do that we will finish last and get the first 2 picks Does not make sense. What you are suggesting improves our situation Everything or nothing from my view point. Either cut out our first round picks or do nothing
  16. It was this time last year CS was given a twelve month extension. From memory his contract runs till the end of October That being the case it is an amazing coincidence that at a similar time to last year's sacking, 186 and reinstating this all rears its head. Is he getting a new contract or what?
  17. Scores struggle to agree with you DEELIRIOUS 2009 for 22 rounds we scored 1706 points vs 2285 against a percentage of 74.6 ( 4 Wins ) average loosing margin 5 goals 2 2012 18 rounds we have scored 1185 points vs 1858 " " ' 63.8 ( 2 wins ) " " " 8 goals 3 If I am generous and say we will win 2 more ( GWS and GCS ) then we have 4 wins like 2009 Add in the other two teams we play are St Kilda and Freo at home, both will be multi goal losses then it is hard to see us getting our percentage to 74.6 or bridging the losing margin gap. IMO Score board suggests we are worse this year.
  18. Happily that is not the case. keep them coming
  19. Good point
  20. Have not heard a word from him old55 since he joined in February. Would have loved to have overheard the phone call yesterday morning.
  21. Question was asked mate I felt obliged to answer. Cheer up I won't rain on your parade
  22. Very cutting It is a lot more enjoyable believe me sadly I am not going away.
  23. Fantastic Redleg where we would we be without yours and DC's wit?
  24. Not much of an alternative PaulRB. With a little humour the MFC is bearable Without it razor blades and hot water
