  1. Problem with Max as a forward is that he has to take a contested mark against two or three defenders who invariably make him pay for it. He’s got to move and lead into space or seperate from our other forwards. It’s so predictable to where he positions himself and defenders are always ready.
  2. I haven’t attended this final but I swear that last seasons GF was the loudest support for us I have ever experienced in a game and sadly most were neutral or WC and Freo supporters. I have been to 90% of Melbourne finals since 1987. In 87 we got a lot of support from neutrals that bumped up the volume as well but nothing compared to the 2021 GF.
  3. It was but generally focused on the general lack of discipline(not just May) but was very happy with Mays overall game.
  4. Pickett wandered into protected area(marginal).
  5. No matter how well we are playing when good sides start challenging and apply manic pressure we wilt. Been a pattern all year, we just fade away. All our losses to Freo, Pies, Bulldogs, Cats, Swans we were in the game and in winnable positions. We lose our shape and let them roll over us.
  6. Evenly matched sides. Both games 1 point wins and same scores. 85-84 and 84-85.
  7. One of Pickets worst games for us. Out tackled badly. 5 of the 6 best trackers were swans.
  8. We don’t have a home. Like Roma or travellers. At our best on the road. The MCG has become like a cage for us.
  9. May two huge momentum killers when 16 and 12 points up.
  10. May and the umps really killed our early momentum.
  11. This can be argued till the cows come home but Richmond still lose. To be sure this doesn’t happen again, stick some two metre flag poles on the top of the posts.
  12. Have a great day but why the pleb carriage? I thought you would be driving something like this.
  13. Last night was a battle between Swiss cheese defences. Jarlsberg versus Emmental.
  14. Nice double choke by Lynch at the death.
  15. Brisbane rarely play badly straight after a bad loss, I’ll tip them despite their poor finals history. And I want to see Richmond out ASAP.
  16. One of the handful of defenders that has kept Buddy scoreless in a game during his career. Time for a repeat.
  17. https://twitter.com/RalphyHeraldSun/status/1561300780799655936?s=20&t=Tmb5qkPolaN79e-lVRTWJw
  18. They could be removed but it could take a couple of months more for his foot to settle down and normalise without the hardware support.
  19. When his first action is to deliberately stick his knees into someone’s guts with force it’s reportable. Just as bad as dropping knees to a player on the ground. Sooner or later if players are allowed to continue with this tactic we will see players with injuries like broken ribs, punctured lungs, internal bleeding, ruptured spleen, kidney damage or worse. I hate to see a new generation of kids doing this because they learned it from watching AFL.
  20. They played two seasons together with us including the 1997 wooden spoon season and 1996. We were quite ordinary then. They go back a long way including some rough times before success.
  21. I have been saying much the same for a long time. As well the balance is way out of whack with too many same types and no role players who do the unheralded stuff.
  22. In a good space to have them. They sound cocky.
  23. When brought back into the side to plug a hole he’s always done a good job ……….until he gets injured again. Playing a block of uninterrupted games has been his issue. Worth keeping on for spare parts.
  24. History has shown that Tmac usually takes a long time to return to peak form after an injury. He needs a block of uninterrupted games to reach his best. Arguably the biggest stumbling block in his career. And diabolically once he reaches a patch of his best form he gets injured again. Not worth risking unless there are injuries to cover.
