  1. Well Grundy is a proven A grade ruckman and does not need to live in the shadow of Max Gawn. Only question is his form and fitness after playing only a couple of games in a year.
  2. Round one appeared too easy, like a carry over from practice match conditions. Round two we looked like we were expecting a repeat. Even before Gawn went down we looked like we werenโ€™t prepared that Brisbane might be switched on. Too many still basking in premiership glory and lack hunger. The lingering perception of last seasons second half malaise has not been extinguished yet. This is like a mini line in the sand game. Lose and we will be just another bottom finals 8 hopeful.
  3. Pavlich, Mundy and Fyfe all superstars at the wrong club at the wrong time. Jackson could end up like them as an all time great Fremantle player but go one better as a one time premiership player.
  4. Ha Ha! how appropriate. Tony Galati the Spud Shed Don.
  5. How long were we in the top four for the last two seasons? In 2021 it was for the whole season. Not sure about last season but we could have been in the four for all if not most of it.
  6. I hope the not so taxing first round win did not get into the players heads. There are a lot of hungry sides yearning for success. We didnโ€™t look like of one of them in Brisbane.
  7. Hawks need a seasoned and experienced coach like Clarkson to take over and arrest the malaise.
  8. Jackson had an easy ride developing in Max Gawnโ€™s slipstream and our powerhouse midfield. Looks like he was expecting the same easy ride at Freo off Darcy and crew. Mundy is now gone and Fyfe is burned out, tall forward woes are desperate and Jackson for the first time as an AFL player is under real pressure to deliver for the club.
  9. And a banged up Fyfe as well who will play as a key forward when he gets on the park.
  10. They hoped Jye Amiss would step as a key forward this season but is looking like Sam Weideman lite at this stage. 3 touches and no scores. Same as for Treacy, a bull with the presence of a calf. Last week 3 touches, one goal.
  11. Max can sign autographs on their moon boots or crutches and take selfies comparing dickie knees for compensation. A medical visit to remember.
  12. On observation of his playing character he would walk and talk like the injury is no big deal. I hope the scans agree.
  13. I hope it was a wake up call. Last season we got to 10 wins in a row but we gradually atrophied away to getting there and we were never a great side from then on. Hopefully like getting a monkey off our backs.
  14. Has anyone play a worse 37 disposal game 149 AF points game?
  15. Round one was too easy, we played like it was going to be the same game.
  16. Sure looks that way.
  17. I was thinking that last weeks win was too easy. We are playing that way.
  18. 3 contested makes in 9 quarters of football. That is ugly.
  19. Oliverโ€™s last three kicks to unmarked Brisbane players.
  20. Oliver playing as bad as his haircut.
  21. Ashcroft is the new Duckwood.
  22. Worst first quarter we have played since 2020. We looked off even before Gawn went off. Smashed in clearances, stoppages and contested marks.
  23. Poor old Jack. Yesterdays headline grabber and just an average Joe today. I hope he is doing well.
