  1. he has had a serious health issue in the past. Could be something to do with that.
  2. Players in top teams that are past 25 years old and around the best 20-25 range get traded due to salary caps and regeneration. Players in bottom teams around same range get delisted. Like to keep him on a lower salary but his rewards as an AFL player will be extended either way.
  3. At this stage kind of reminds me of 2018 when we had a soft draw and beat up on lower sides. We will see where we truly at in a few weeks. Port are hot and this will be as tough a game as going up against Collingwood.
  4. it’s all about optics. If a player gets slung to the ground and takes an 8 count he will get opponent suspended.
  5. Should take him to Adelaide anyway to catch up with his family.
  6. Christian couldn’t land the big Roo so takes out the poor tweety bird for revenge.
  7. They are going to have to tank for a few seasons more to replace all the has beens.
  8. And watching players with legs missing below the knees chasing an invisible ball on the other side of the ground.
  9. Cant just appeal by putting your hand up. A rationale has to be formulated, written and presented on the reason for appeal. Need a few legal minds time to get it right and not stuff it up.
  10. Am starting to believe that tribunal charges are being deliberately erroneously worded to ensure a particular case is dismissed. Same as introducing errors in due process. Like with Cripps it doesn’t take a Captain Obvious to note that the only possible way in this universe he could have got off his charge was due to a never before seen technicality. Then we have the McKay/Sheezel incident where evidence is happily accepted to claim McKays intention was to push and not elbow Sheezel high but this photo suggests he actually elbowed him in the face despite what he intended. Curiously Carlton seem to be serial beneficiaries of these egregious decisions.
  11. Who are the idiots on the the tribunal?
  12. And he has to make his decisions viewing multiple incidents at very short notice with only a TV replay, noise from commentators and lack of post incident evidence like diagnosed nature of injury and recovery. Leaves opening for optics and emotions to barge in and influence decisions.
  13. Some are saying he didn’t have eyes on the ball as justification for suspension. Well he did but shifted focus at last second on where ball was going as it was coming down steeply. Looks like he clipped Ballard head with the tip of his shoulder or missed on the spoil follow through. Purely accidental buts that’s 2-3 weeks for an MFC player
  14. We have punish the Hawks severely next week for making Freo look good.
  15. I suspect opposition clubs top priority is winning the clearances against us every week. It’s obvious they put a lot of work in stopping us at the source. Our guys need to realise they being the hunted and not the hunters and step up.
  16. My only complaint over last night is that we haven’t sorted out the clearances issue, in particular centre clearances. This has to be sorted out or forget another flag. We have 4 A graders and a couple B+ rotating through the middle but don’t function as an effective unit. Where is the synergy and WTF is wrong with them?
  17. These days it’s called delisting. Players only get sacked for committing serious outrages, some of which are publicly known but most are swept under the carpet.
  18. GC are good at the moment. They easily handled Richmond last week where we struggled to suppress them the week before. I wouldn’t take this game lightly.
  19. That’s true and not likely but in theory the size of Bendigo/Ballarat and local region combined could support an AFL team.
  20. Has to be Canberra if there are 20 teams. There will be enough fans to fill a medium sized stadium and there is plenty of visitor infrastructure. No way Geraldton could be a chance. Only 40,000 inhabitants and few people live within cooee of the town. Same as for Alice Springs, Kalgoorlie and Bunbury. Northern Queensland and NT too damned hot and tropical for regular games. Newcastle and Wollongong worse than GWS for appreciation of the game. A combined ‘Gold Fields’ team might be a goer alternating between Bendigo and Ballarat. Extra Perth side playing out of Mandurah? an outside chance as well.
