I missed that concert... I went to the first Sunbury in January 1972... interesting sums it up best, I think. Some great music, but lots of drunk yobbos beating the crap out of each other and lots of stoners who didn't seem to know where they were.

Certainly a far cry from Sunbury where they were all but run out of town :-)

To my mind, Murder Ballads is one of the greatest albums recorded... however, I'm afraid Queen have never done it for me... in fact, I would go so far as to say their supposed masterpiece Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most pompous pieces of crap ever committed to vinyl/CD.
  4. No no, you've got it all wrong Jara... weather is what we experience each day as we walk outside and is something that we all love to use as a nice conversation starter. Climate however, is something that affects certain people who have a disposition to issues with their hip-pocket nerve.
  5. I addressed the fact that the rest of the world has chosen to commit to an outcome at the Paris talks. Perhaps you might like to explain why they are all wrong and you are right? Do you have access to more reliable data than they do? Oh, and I would say that your response to my sarcasm was probably showing far more heat than I have managed to generate.

If you already bought tickets, I'm pretty sure you should be able to negotiate with your bank for the refund and they will chase it up from the promoters. At least, this is what I heard in a radio discussion regarding this matter today (the agency was saying they will refund customers as soon as the promoters return the ticket sales money to them, so the bank refund might be the fastest and safest option).

This year's seems like a disorganised mess... http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/soundwave-music-festival-cancelled-20151217-glpwbn.html and then there's this: http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/heres-much-money-soundwave-2015-acts-owed/#/slide/1
  8. Oh yes, those facts that the rest of the world has chosen to ignore in order to commit to an outcome at the Paris talks. If only you had been there to alert them to the folly of their ways.
  9. Yes indeed, those who don't post obsessively in an attempt to beat others into submission (you will notice that I only called two people out).
  10. I hadn't given it any thought to be honest.... although I occasionally do like to argue some points because I would rather we exercise caution in areas such as CO2 emissions (something that man does have control over and that does affect climate), I am not obsessed with it... from what I have seen in these threads, the only people who are, appear to be yourself and Pro Dee judging by the post count and desperate need to be "right".
  11. Yes yes, it's all a massive conspiracy put out there by the mob that brought down the twin towers and claimed a plane had been flown into the Pentagon. Unless you have conclusive evidence that this is a scam, then you are none the wiser than those of us who may not be convinced either way, but all the same, would rather not wait until it is too late.
  12. True DC, very true... but I suppose in the case of climate change, you probably don't want to wait to find out... because by then it will be too late.
  13. I don't believe I said that Essendon should be transparent... I said the truth will out despite their denials... much like it will regardless of those denying climate change.
  14. Not at all... I believe that Essendon are a club of denialists and that they will be found out and have to pay the price... their time is up.
  15. Alarmists? The only alarmists I see around here are those that are alarmed they might be a few dollars out of pocket.
  16. Judging by Knightmare's review, the midfield may well become Oliver's Army; let's hope they're here to stay.
  17. It wasn't really a snide comment... it was more about his kicking skills and was a failed attempt at a humorous response to an earlier post.
  18. Yes, but he's gone to Essendon, so he should be twice the size by season's start.
  19. Hopefully the similarities begin and end with the hair colour.

As far as I am concerned that is NOT Fleetwood Mac... the moment Peter Green walked out of the door was the moment Fleetwood Mac ceased to exist.

    And "This Week in Britain".

A couple more from that era...
  23. I actually don't have any thoughts about him one way of the other... if we take him, fine... if we don't take him, fine. I know he has performed quite well against us in the past and I would not be at all surprised if he was on the radar of other clubs (that's something both you and I have no knowledge of). I suppose we will know more over the coming weeks.
  24. Well, we have had experience with Hogan and Petracca who sat out a year before playing for the Dees... maybe they see a benefit in securing him now rather than risk his going elsewhere?
