  1. I’m just going on how they were sounding as they passed us on that final lap; my observation only.
  2. I want the club to be successful... I just see no point in dwelling on the past. What’s done is done, so look ahead. I don’t accept the hype at all.
  3. We could win the GF and there’d still be the usual suspects on here complaining because we didn’t win by 10 goals.
  4. I sense a theme, and it’s already getting tired after just two posts.
  5. Bugg looked very good all session... he won the time trial yes, but on the final lap he was huffing and puffing while both TMac and ANB appeared to have a lot left in the tank. Bugg’s kicking is looking very sharp as well... I get the feeling he’s working hard to make up for last year’s transgression. Others who looked very sharp were Salem, Hogan, ANB, TMac, Oliver. OMac is looking very fit and seems to have built up his body. JKH is also looking very fit and is moving well. Petracca, Jones and Kent were all in rehab, but looking like they could be ready to participate with the main group... although Kent really doesn’t appear to have his heart in it... to my mind at least. Can’t recall all of those in the rehab group, but Weeds, Tim and Joel Smith, Maynard, Viney and Balic were all there. Saw VDB, who did not participate and did appear to be in some discomfort walking across the ground. My son took lots of photos today and I will provide a link to the album in my Facebook account once I’ve had a chance to get them off the camera and edited.
  6. But does it clearly advocate the killing on non believers? https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/722114
  7. The problem the AFL now has it that if they truly want to protect the “victim’s” privacy, then they cannot act against a player, because as soon as the player is identified then the victim is easily identified. Surely the “bringing the game into disrepute” path can only be taken if the case becomes public (that is, people involved are disclosed publicly)? The AFL appears to be caught up in a perfect Catch22 scenario.
  8. What Turnbull has produced bears absolutely no resemblance to the NBN proposed under Labor. And I’m not sure (don’t know the figures) that it has saved anywhere near the dollars that Mal claimed it would.
  9. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it!
  10. My son and I will be back down in Melbourne from the 3rd to the 13th January inclusive, so we'll be attempting to get to whatever sessions are on during that period.
  11. If no formal complaint has been made and no charges laid, then it's all closed as soon as everybody stops discussing it.
  12. That’s a rather Grimm assessment.
  13. Send them into a Myer or David Jones Boxing Day sale... that’ll sort them out!
  14. Not where the media are concerned... and there are too many “supporters” prepared to lend them credence when it is news that presents our club in a negative light.
  15. You already posted that in a response to one of my earlier posts... I will defer to Bing’s excellent posts as that pretty much covers it.
  16. They probably want to enact that law so that they are brought up to at least the 20th century. No means no... that should have been in place regardless; it’s indicative of nothing, but it’s no surprise that you read whatever you like into it.
  17. Get over yourself and spare us the faux outrage, so typical of you right wingers when called out on your sources. Considering the reputation of the source, it would be hard to accept the article as being gospel. How do we know that they are not misrepresenting the lawyer? As I suggested, point me to a more reputable source and I might comment. I’m sure her comments must have been reported by more sources than just The Goldwater.
  18. Find me a more reputable source for the story if you want me to pass comment https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-goldwater/
  19. Look on the positive side... I would say that the chances of Ablett making it through to the first round are probably as bad if not worse than Viney's. He's likely to be carrying a dodgy shoulder for the rest of his career and the odds must be pretty high that he may not be ready to go in round one, or will be operating at a much reduced level at best.
  20. Yes, and if we had done the bootcamp and lost the first round, no doubt supporters would be blaming the bootcamp for taking too much out of the players. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
  21. No it is not! Biffen's original post does not mention Europe at all... it discusses the impact of Islamists on western society. So either you don't consider Australia a western society or you didn't bother to check the OP.
  22. Gee, those pesky refugees must have been sneaking advance parties off to Sweden in the 1990’s... ”In 1996, Sweden registered almost three times the average number of rape offences registered in 35 European countries.” (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_Sweden#) You could be right about them not functioning properly...maybe those lascivious Lutherans have a few sexual hang ups.
  23. This is Demonland... this thread has at least another 83 pages worth of repetition left in it.
  24. You have all the facts? (does anyone outside the club?)
