  1. Of those two, I'd assume Sparrow, simply because Jordon is a tackling machine.
  2. I assume that probably means 22 plus sub... any indication as to who the sub might be?
  3. That’s precisely the comparison I used in the post that Godees was responding to.
  4. I too am loving the apparent synergy between Langdon and Hunt. I’m of the opinion that Langdon, in no small part, is responsible for Hunt’s turnaround in form. Maybe an early call, but I haven’t seen a pairing like that since Cameron Bruce and Brad Green helped take us to a GF in 2000.
  5. I was thinking more of a LeCras type.
  6. Well, the good thing about Tom is that in a contest, he won’t back down.
  7. Then couldn’t you be chair man of selectors?
  8. I read in an article on the MFC app, that both the Weed and Brown played in an intraclub game last weekend. Does anyone have any info as to how they went?

  10. Yes, for me Trac was one of our most disappointing players... some terrible turnovers.
  11. As long as he's taking the shot from about 95 metres out.
  12. All good, except for the fact that a major concern in the original post was that "They cant phone the club as the club is just overloaded with calls and you cant get through."
  13. I'm currently a non-drinker and have family in Canberra to catch up with before my son and I go to the game, but I think the nearest pub (walking distance) would be the Kingston Hotel on the corner of Giles St and Canberra Ave. I'm sure there are bars in both Manuka and Kingston, but being Easter Sunday, they may or may not be open. Also, a bit further way if on foot, there is 'Kingston by the Sea' on the foreshore of picturesque Lake Burley Griffin that does have a few bars.
  14. The club and its members have only been relying on this 'new' technology for the past season and a bit due to the extraordinary circumstances we all find ourselves in with the pandemic. I'm not sure who these members are that have no access to mobile or home PC type technology, or how many of them actually exist, but hopefully they would, for the most part, have technologically capable connections (family, carers or other) who could help them obtain seating at games and help them maintain their memberships. We interstate members still keep our memberships going, despite often going years on the trot with the Dees not having games in our cities (I'm in Sydney), so attendance should not be the determining factor; it's all about love for the club.
  15. You must have tuned out early... there was a great shot of a depressed Bucks still sitting in the coaches box, a few minutes after the game had finished.
  16. It's the first posted image (on page two) in the topic... I guess the linking set up here looks for an image to accompany the post.
  17. There was a post about this way back in September last year. It looks like we were probably lucky to keep him with us for this season.
  18. Hassa Mann Stan Alves Robbie Flower ‘Wrecker’ Whelan Aaron Davey Shane Woewodin
  19. The review is up on the MFC site: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/893219/vfl-casey-wins-a-close-one-over-the-kangaroos
  20. How is he a cheat? The boundary umpire messed up; at normal speed, the player wouldn’t have even noticed the ball was out as he’s concentrating on getting the ball between the goal posts ... I somehow doubt you’d be saying cheat if it was one of our players.
