  1. Actually, it just occurred to me that if you use this thread title as a "prefix" for the other thread titles, it works quite well. For example, "I blame Jack Watts for Neeld's first address" or "I blame Jack Watts for bad Melbourne supporters", and on it goes.
  2. Perhaps it's your wording, perhaps it's my interpretation: "There are areas that everyone has to improve at. If he is going to be a great inside midfielder he has to change some of his ways." The good cop/bad cop reference was to your first post lavishing him with praise, only to have your second post taking a negative tack. And for what it's worth, I believe the reason we were able to clear the ball was more because players were getting to the contest more efficiently and therefore able to get those clearances we are usually so poor at... and I believe that was the reason your initial criticism of Jones was unwarranted... he would get the ball often enough but have no-one running past to take the clearance.
  3. Well... So, you compliment him on his performance away from the ruck on the one hand and appear to criticise him for not being at the ruck contest on the other.
  4. Is this a case of the "whole being greater than the sum of its parts"? ;-)
  5. How is that attacking the poster? I am attacking your contradictory statements made within two and a half hours of each other.
  6. If you say that to yourself with a Sean Connery accent, it almost works (I blame Jack Watts for putting that idea in my head).
  7. Praise... Bucket of cold water... You appear to be a regular one-man good cop/bad cop routine.
  8. I have said it once, have said it twice and will say it again, Jones will be our Chapman (and not just in the "eggshell blond" stakes)... in fact, he may turn out to be even better given the rate of his improvement over the past 2 and a bit seasons.
  9. I find it somewhat funny that we all (well, for the most part) express our faith in Neeld and his approach to developing this team into a tough aggressive unit, yet here we are all speculating (read, demanding) who should be dropped and complaining over the fact that the likes of Dunn, MacDonald, Morton, Davey, Sellar etc continue to get game time at the expense of Petterd, Couch, etc. We either have faith in Neeld's bigger picture or we don't... so, why not let him make the calls as he sees fit. I was complaining after the Doggies game that we were continuing on a downward trajectory and at that time said that if we came within 21 points of the Saints, then I would believe we were starting to show improvement... well, we did and I do now believe we're on track towards much bigger and better things; I'm actually now hopeful that we can get to within 24 points of the Cats at the cattery.
  10. No need to get yourself banned.. just don't bother coming here... simple really.
  11. God Nathan Jones has sticky hands... some of his gathers are unbelievable!
  12. Na na na na na na na na , na na na na na na na na Bartman!!
  13. Just 3 points in it at three quarter time... who would have thunk it?
  14. Superb goal from Bartram!!!!
  15. Gee, they're really getting Goddard rattled... great stuff!!
  16. Nice to see Sylvia come on (for Trengove, no Dunn, no not Dunn, yes Dunn) with all guns blazing
  17. Ok, Dunn replaced by Sylvia.
  18. Ok... Dunn stays :-)
  19. Change my prediction re Trengove coming off for Sylvia... think it might be Dunn.
  20. Yeah... but you notice as soon as we raised the point, he puts the ball out on the full :-)
  21. Now Garland has gone off with a possible ankle injury
  22. And going relatively unnoticed by all of us here... Bartram is having a very good game.
  23. Magner's back on the ground.
  24. Happy to be of service :-)
  25. I would not be surprised if Trengove is subbed out for Sylvia. He has done very little.
