  1. The greatest player ever. LOL!

Not even the greatest player of his draft year.

FFS, if NicNat was in a Melbourne jumper he'd get abused for his poor skills. And he wouldn't get a touch.

Yet when Watts has a great game he needs to "find consistency and is too soft".

The disparity between the two in terms of level headed evaluation is a joke.

    Friggin MFCSS!

Jaded is on the money today.

Seriously most of the time he runs around look more lost than robinson crusoe.

  2. [censored] off with this Jack Darling crap already. We weren't the only ones who passed up on him. He is good, but he also has an A grade midfield serving the ball to him on a platter.

This stuff is as bad as the ridiculous amount of love given to NicNat every time he farts, despite the fact he can't kick. Howe takes better marks anyway.

Enough of feeling sorry for ourselves because we didn't draft every good player ever.

This thread should have ended after this post.

Rear vision thinking is not genarally productive and I think WYL's good point is we need to learn from our recruiting to improve it in future but thats it.

We will always miss out on some good players through choices we make just as other teams do. What number was swan again 48?

Finally, as Jaded points out most of the logic about how good these players are is flawed.

If you play in a team that has an excellent or elite midfield you will just look better, have more confidence etc. If we had taken any of these players i have no doubt their development would have been different.

  3. Morton played well (apart from the bit where I had to throw the TV out the window!). Sure Neeld gave him a deserved serve but then moved on.

For us as a team its all about eliminating those errors. Its not just Cale.

Yesterday we had several examples, Blease running one too many steps, Sellar weak handpasses, and a few others kicking poorly for a turnover.

McDonald is another example of someone who has had a few massive blunders but is going to be a long term asset down back.

For the record the full quote is above. I am a supporter of Cale but like most can get frustrated at the so called coach killers in any game. It was intended in a light hearted way to make the point errors like that are still in the team and we need to concentrate on them.

I think the last time I saw a TV about to go out a window it was my brother picking it up after one J Stynes ran across a certain mark.

Stynes made my brother and I eat our words in the years that followed.

If anyone knows Cale tell him I am positive he can prove us TV throwers wrong and I am happy to be identified if need be as I see nothing wrong with my remarks (if they had been quoted in full).

  4. I'd like to see the entire coaching staff wear these at all home games.

Can you get the lapels in dark blue?

  6. I have not said it so far but its time for Couch to get a game.

Tappy, Sylvia and possibly Clark may get an enforced rest.

if so we need to bring in Martin, Davey, MacDonald, Bartram and Couch.

Green looked absolutely filthy about being on the bench yesterday but suspensions may save him this time around.

I'd give Trenners a break either he is not fit or needs to recalibrate now is a chance to give him an effective 3 week break.

  8. There is a way to disagree with what Don is doing as President but its certainly not asking him how he sleeps at night.

The email was very poor form.

Don like everyone here loves the club and we should at least respect that.

I was at the game Saturday night and at half time Don came down and sat with the supporters.

You could see the pain on his face. He didn't hide up in the chairmans room, he was there with us.

Disagree with him on what has to be done but respect him as a fellow supporter who is actually trying to do something for the club.
