  1. Don't forget that if you get dropped this week .....you won't play a game for 2 weeks.....Thanks to a f...d up draw in the VFL....How unprofessional in this day and age.....It affects every Vic AFL team......

This affects the sylvia decision did the discussion go along the lines of :

"col on performance you would have been dropped but no game next week so you are in the last chance saloon. prove me wrong"

  2. What happens if both picks 1 and 2 in this years super draft are going to be your franklins/Judd's and these players have the ability to lead the club for the next 10 years???

Im suggesting that if gws or gc want to nominate viney then we call their bluff and give them viney.

We in return get either pick 1 or 2 in the super draft instead of viney who might be considered 5-10.

Wouldn't we want to best player in the land for our club regardless of family affiliation?

Yes, it would be a low act to tell viney that he is now going to western Sydney however jack and Todd might agree to it?

    Thoughts???

Todd would say take number 1, Jack can come back in 2 years.

And sheeds and grubby can wear egg on their face.

  3. Moloney needs a different manager. A very poor negotiating ploy given his current modest returns.

Jamar's position is much better. You say you want to stay (thus anyone interested has to pay a bit over the odds to get you to move) and enables you to pitch to your club that :

"i'd like to stay but I have all these big offers help me out here"

Moloney's mesage to the club is very different: "i want success but you are not going to give it to me so i am not motivated to stay". Recruiters hear: "help get me out of here"

Simply not a way to maximise your return.

My bet is he knows Couch is breathing down his neck and panic has set in.

So best thing for him is to get with the plan and return to form. IF he did that then we would have success and so would he in dollar terms.

  4. Sellar out , he can get some form in the 2's.

As much as it pains me have to agree Sylvia is only just back after a significant injury and will improve (please improve to your potential!)

Is it a bye for Casey or not? (if so then Watts in, as no point having him sit out doing jack Sh@*)

  5. Clark's game yesterday was a fantastic tribute to his desire to perform at the level his enormous salary demands. Geelong supporters near me at the game yesterday started the game deriding him yelling" is that worth 3.2 million?" etc.

Soon they had to shut up. ( apart from booing as he ran in to kick for goal after that sensational mark running back with the flight).

If he had been playing for Geelong and marked the way he did for us, he'd have kicked a dozen goals.

I was absolutely filled with admiration for his efforts yesterday, and proudly clapped his efforts amongst the silence.

I am re-quoting this because never has there been a truer word said. Col Sylvia could learn a thing or two from this guy.

He hasn't just said thanks for the money he is earning every cent.

  6. Not only did Mick speak well it seemed he had a clear understanding on where our club is at and what we are working on. He even gave Watts a pump up, bit different to pre-season

What was interesting was he spoke about talking to Davey and in the smae breath described Watts are really nice and intelligent young man saying some come to the game with the desire for a contest whilst others have to learn it over time which was what he was doing.

I got the distinct impression he has been talking to watts in much the same vein as Davey.

Is he a secret consultant to Neeld?

  7. I cant believe how many so called supporters decide to boo their own players on this site:

"Hope he nevers pulls the jumper on again", "trade him" "why didn't we get (Darling, Martin NIk nat or whoever this week)".

The last one always makes me laugh because we didn't, just get over it.

Bagging our own is not going to help, the coaches will enforce elite standard and know more about each player then we do.

I trust them to do the right thing and change the culture of the club.

How about we enforce some elite supporter standards here.

Ps: Watts would be killing it in a more developed team.

  8. This thread every week is a litany of players " I don't like".

MacDonald did the job this week and will stay.

Dunn was pulled for going inboard against the gameplan... What neeld does will tell us if he is playing just a defensive role.

Watts for mine was played in the wrong position he does well on the wing.

McDonald is developing well and who knows may end up at chf next season.

Sellar is at risk if Martin plays well.

  9. Can't agree with this. He smashed Sam Fisher. Subbing Dunn let Fisher off the hook and Sylvia gave us nothing in return. Stupid move. Should have been Watts wearing red tonight.

I get the point but we needed him to kick a couple not one. Sellar should have had the red for mine.

  10. Agree with this, just not sure what that bit means?

He didn't get a lot of possessions or completed tackles but he presence was having an adverse effect on the ainst around him.

It was very noticeable on the broadcast. Neeld will be pleased with his effort.

  11. Biased I know, but the boy has lifted in his last two game. Main point is the kid layed 2 massive tackles on Mcevoy and dropped him, 5 tackles in total. Whilst he doesn't look much bigger, the kids core strength it really getting there. Bench bench and fly laterals improved by 22% from last years pre-season. Clearance work was great and looked hungry, KEEP it going SON!!!

We love the bias Improving every game this year and starting to look like he thinks he deserves to be there.

  12. Some big positives tonight.

McDonald showed a lot of promise playing on a top forward, he is improving each week. Get used to him being there.

Macdonald showed why he is coaches pet.

    Rivers is not done yet.

    Magner loving this guy indestructible.

    Bail showed signs at last.

Davey was like a mosquito most of the night.

    Jones was magnificent early.

Jordie killed Goddard, Goddard wanted to kill Jordie.

    Sylvia looked hungry but rusty

Neeld almost blew a gasket in the box, loving that.

Our team wanted it bad and that's a good sign.

All that with our forward line going missing, Dunn too quiet, sellar can tap but needs to mark a few, watts should have played on the wing to get him into the game, Howe didn't do enough..

Neeld has us on the right path. All we need is for everyone to step up.

  13. I think Neeld was referring to Morton in his press conference when he said some people confuse lack of endeavour with being exhausted.

My bet is that Neeld believes Morton has not had the time put into him to be performing at the top level and thinks he can make it.

It could be the cooaches believe his poor disposal is due to lack of fitness 9something that can be rectified.
