Yeah, he’s played poor games. That’s why he’s playing for Casey. It’s never through lack of evdeavour.

So much respect for Pedo as a player. Puts in week in week out no matter the level he’s playing.

What they're saying over at West Lakes
P-man replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I sometimes listen to the podcast of oppo teams the week before and after we play them. Yeah, tragic. One of the podcasters on the Crowcast (http://www.aflcrowcast.com/) made a very accute prediction as to how the game would pan out in the week leading up: “Melbourne are a team that the way they go about their scoring is in clusters. They tend to go on five or six goal rolls and break teams with fifteen to twenty minutes of football. I’m just not sure that our defence at the moment is organised enough to withstand that kind of a surge which will inevitably come, and regardless of the midfield battle they will win their share of ball. That’s just an outcome that’s going to occur regardless of how well we play. They will win their fair share of ball and at some point, they are good enough that there will be a surge and I just have a bad feeling that surge will produce five, six, seven goals. Whether it be the second quarter or third quarter, that will put a dent in the game.” We have built ourselves a reputation for these types of surges in games but I found the accuracy of this prediction from an opposition supporter (in another state no less) fascinating. They also thought Gawn would play a critical role and raved about his rucking in the post match talking about what a privilege it was to see him live. Worth a listen if you have way too much time on your hands.- 81 replies

Why on earth when they are down to the bare bones at selection would Lyons, Barlow and Ainsworth all be selected as emergencies. They’d be some of the first picked if I was a portly Suns coach.

Pumped to see Vanders back. I pity some of those Gold Coast kids.

I have a feeling Hoges will bounce back in a big way. 8 day break is enough rest.

Don’t we want Eagles to win? This keeps Norf in the hunt for the 8. The more teams we can knock out of the pack the better.
-
Is there a more Jekyll and Hyde side when it comes to the clearance battle? We couldn’t win one to save ourselves early. 17-4 in the third quarter. A demolition. I don’t know how we compare with other sides but it seems like feast or famine a lot of the time.

I reckon that game could be big for JKH’s confidence. He didn’t star but he showed to others and himself that he still has the ability to perform at this level against quality opposltion. Good on him. Sometimes players just need a decent run at things to find their feet. Here’s hoping it’s a sign of things to come.

She’s referring to Swans, Giants and Eagles. Although the Swans are rubbish atm. I’d say two very hard games.
