Higgins got North pick 30 at 33yo, surprising.

Is this the guy we picked up with a 2nd rounder after trading two 2nd rounders to get that pick, and no one on the draft coverage had any idea who he was? Still know nothing about him.

We must also remember his poor 2020 season and that he's 28, uncontracted and unwanted at North. Surely Mahoney's not stupid enough to give up a first rounder. Never know with his generosity though. -
If daniher got 3x700k for band 1, the crouch offer must've been pretty low.

Band 1 for a 3 year deal? Doesn't sound right, but the AFL make it up as they go. Crouch will get pick 2 for sure.

Yuck. An elderly player on the downhill slope looking for a fat pension cheque. Hopefully not on crazy money, so we can actually re-sign our good young players, but who knows with Mahoney.

How would that work? He was uncontracted, GC didnt offer him one, they weren't trying to offload a contract, and he wasn't a FA so no compo.

Doing the right thing for his health, crazy to give him a 3 year contract in the first place though when he was cooked.

AFL would love the lions in the GF. Umpires are doing their best to make it happen. Pretty disgraceful, the ump with dark hair has got to be on the take.

Was Phillips injured or just not getting a game? If hes on good money, they'd be keen to offload him like we are with Tmac. Would prefer him to an elderly Smith anyway.

They made us pay through the nose for Tyson and Frost, and dumped their duds like McKenna and Bugg on us, hope we get something decent for him.

Great, but we need to agree to terms with gws too. Pick 39 wont cut it surely. That'll end up well into the 40s.

Surely even Mahoney's not dumb enough to give a 32yo a 3 year contract (though nothing's beyond him given KK's crwzy deal). His numbers were significantly down last year, and he's not going to get any quicker.
