  1. It's a broad church here at Demonland. Doesn't bother me ...
  2. Part vendetta, part self-promotion. The after-dinner circuit can be quite lucrative.
  3. Almost everything Richard Ings writes is first and foremost about Richard Ings. His opinions re ASADA are not exactly neutral.
  4. JKH played Round 1 last year, and I would imagine that there would be one or two of the new boys who might get a run in the opening round. But they're going to have to fight a bit harder for a place than JKH did.
  5. Nothing to do with it. Read the thread, or your post that was responded to. Key words to look for are "vegetarian" and "agressive".
  6. Emma Q has posted her roundup, confirming what pretty well everyone has been saying. Hard not to smile. A bit of luck coming our way for a change? MELBOURNE It's hard to muck up picks two and three, but that St Kilda chose Paddy McCartin over Christian Petracca suited the Dees perfectly. They weren't difficult choices, but they did some good work later on in the draft. Billy Stretch was rated a first-round talent by some, might be the most professional kid in the draft, and improved enormously this year. Some clubs had Oscar McDonald, the brother of Tom, ranked well above the 50s, and it a little surprising that the super-solid Alex Neal-Bullen made it through to pick 41.
  7. Matthew Hammelmann - was already mentioned in a draft thread as being a player "of interest" to us.
  8. 6-8 wins, finals a possibility next year. Lots of variables in that, though I do feel, with the positive steps that have been taken off the field (coaching, development), and the quality of the players coming in, sooner or later it's going to start to turn.
  9. When it's like this, yes. So far so good. Now, let's try and get through the pre-season more or less injury free.
  10. Not the only ones. Harmes, Hunt, Mitchie, Riley. With the new additions we've got about 10 players going for 2 spots. Survival of the fittest, will be an interesting couple of years.
  11. All orchestrated by the AFL marketing/PR department to keep things "exciting". Wouldn't read too much into it. In spite of the public posturing, St Kilda were always going down this road once Boyd ended up at the Dogs.
  12. Paige Cardona ‏@paigecardona 44m44 minutes ago Christ almighty.. Viney, Petracca, Brayshaw, Neal-Bullen with Toumpas, Salem & Stretch on the outside and all of them feeding Hogan. WOW!
  13. Great for the MFC - not to shabby for Casey either ... someone should put up a Round 1 Casey team. How long before the first intra-club?
  14. Gotta be kidding! McDonald at 53. Great for the boys.
  15. Shocking. A tragedy for all concerned. Has resonated internationally - right across all the UK papers of course, but even the French papers are carrying the story in their online editions.
  16. http://watchafl.afl.com.au http://watchafl.afl.com.au/schedule/day_view Official AFL international streaming site/service. I have a yearly subscription, but usually the out-of-season events (e.g. NAB Cup) are free. Showing start time from 9H30 CET.
  17. Would be just as surprised if McKenzie slipped as well.
