Expecting to be howled down but what about an enquire to Kade Simpson? I seem to remember him saying he would consider a return, was still playing great footy as he retired. If we genuinely think we are a serious premiership contender, he would be strong coverage for the two players that if injured we would miss the most in Salem and Langdon. We have arguably better players but we have some form of coverage for our star midfielders and I even think Majak is good enough coverage for Gawn if he was missing for a couple of weeks. But Salem and Langdon don’t have obvious coverage with all due respect to Nev and Lockhart. The third hardest to replace would be Lever, Simpson could also alleviate some of that pain by still using Petty to replace but allow Kade to fly third man in or intercept in that same style. Let alone having that much experience around the club if for absolutely nothing more but to give some wisdom to likes of Rosman, Bowey and Lockhart. He would have to be at least tempted at one last dip at a flag but wouldn’t want to go on any further. Just seems like something a Hawthorn or Geelong would do

Disagree, excellent foot skills and could release Salem into a more damaging role from half back. I know Riv is slated for that spot but again as opposed to pick 57 or whatever we could rightly expect for Hannan I just see more upside

Love to see a play for Lin Jong rather than a pick. Similarly to Hannam had injury issues but has a precocious ability and is a low risk investment

Never really found many places that I liked that showed the games with volume up here in the fun free city, but I’ve just taken over as licensee of the Botany View in Newtown so if any Sydney based dee’s fans ever want to watch our beloveds I’ll always have at least one section of the pub with the game on and volume. I just paid up today, went for the Reserved Seat open air to get the GFG and hopefully inspire myself to come down from Sydney for at least 5 games this year. However unless the mods have a problem, I’d be happy to offer my M15 seat to any other interstate members who want the better seat if they want to PM me (obviously if I’m not using it myself). Super pumped for this year

Don’t know him as a player anywhere near well enough to have a solid opinion but I feel there is one last play in us and we will either take a delisted free agent or experienced player in the draft. Ive heard interest in Mitch before, simply curious if people think he could fill a need
