I don't think it's important for him to make his debut this year and if he doesn't get a gig this week I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a run this year. We have plenty of players who are in front of him in the pecking order looking to force their way back and other young guys who have debuted before him looking to keep their spot.

I was at the Adelaide game and there were two Dees supporters sitting in front of me with their kids. One was obviously a Bell fan, and was talking up his game whenever he did something nice (which was often). The second guy had to begrudgingly accept that Bell was playing well - obviously hadn't rated him previously and I inferred that this was a running debate. I think the first guy has it in the bag

A few interesting perspectives - - Newton kicked three and yet wasn't mentioned. - Warnock played in the midfield and did well there. - Garland played well in defence. Disappointing that Miller and Dunn didn't take their chance, but it doesn't sound like Newton dominated.

An article has gone up re: team seletion for the Tigers match on the MFC website I can't see Neitz playing, despite ND refusing to rule it out - Miller and Dunn are mentioned as potential replacements, but Newton's name - as usual - is missing. Possible ND will pull out a last-minute surprise and choose Newton? Would be unlike him given he normally talks up potential debutants in the week before the game. Buckley might struggle to get a gig if one of these guys is going to come in, particularly considering ND referred to how hard it was to drop Brown for the QB game. Looks like TJ and Neitz will force at least two changes.

It essentially means there's allocated seating. If you have a valid membership you can - as always, pending availability - secure a level 3 seat on the day but you need to collect a ticket from a ticketing booth (at no cost) as opposed to just scanning your m/ship. Likewise the general public can get a level 3 seat on the day if tickets are still available. Actually you do have to pay extra - iirc the booking fee is ~$5. If I did this every second week I'd be paying 1/3 of my yearly membership all over again just for the 'privilege' of securing a decent seat. This of course is only an option if you can purchase online/over the phone (eg. have a credit card).

There was an interesting thread on Demonology not too long ago about the sacking. I think one of the old timers wrote a long post and/or article about it - can't remember the name but he isn't a regular poster there.

Sounds like a good idea but I read it'd mean a two week break for the grand finalists (pros and cons imo) and that it would also cost the league substantially more at TD. I'd be more likely to go though & I imagine I'm not the only one
