POLL: Who Needs To Go? ... The Fans Decide

Good ole Tona always good for a laugh. Take it as fact tona, the club only have interest in backing Neeld. They are not looking to change over the coach before his term is out and the coach feels he has full support for what he doing. You are going to continue to be disappointed and I look forward to your continued waste of space posts for a good laugh. We have had this discussion about real leadership before, unfortunately you can't and won't ever grasp it. Cue in your next ridiculous statement or abuse as you are incapable of having a logical conversation. -
I think your OP infers we are not using Craig in a proposed way you believe might be better. Does this mean you are making an assumption there is no 'synergy' between MN and NC? For what it's worth I think you are barking up the wrong tree on this.
-
Agree BH Neeld definitely doesn't instruct the game to be played that way. The players are incapable of carrying out basic skills such as kicking, sticking to game plan positioning, they let the string of game plan down with really basic mistakes or hesitating.
-
Don't take it out of context. I was saying from all points of view in terms of the club the vibe is great and players are satisfied. I'm countering the suggestion MN has lost the players or the perception from fans he used a sledgehammer is garbage at best.
-
You are basing this on? Have you ever stepped inside the club, spoken to players or coaches? I have. I can tell you the vibe has been best I've seen for a long time all season. The only people who are upset seems to be fans on the outside. Inside the players actually seem happier than ever. Best of luck with your next line of assuming.

POLL: Who Needs To Go? ... The Fans Decide

Simply couldn't disagree more. CS was a problem last year that was a convenient excuse for a playing group that has been underwhelming for years. He is not the issue nor any other of the football dept. The players want for nothing in terms of support, coaching and facilities. Lunch cooked for them everyday by a chef. Seriously the players we have were rubbish under DB and continue to display the same ethic and football smarts/ability under MN. How many more admins/coaches can we sack before the players actually grow and do something? Reality we don't have players who are up to AFL standard. If we don't cull and wait another year to give them a chance with MN gameplan we will be in the same position with even more pressure on the club and players, not to mention our own sanity! -
I can confirm all of this and shared this with individuals on here 2 weeks ago. When you say at least 10 it really will be at least I'd not up to 12.

tonatopia has had a burst of posts....clearly on holidays with these hypothetical threads....

As usual you make grand sweeping statements based on your notion of the truth that goes on in your own mind. Neeld knows its an important time but the club is backing him to the hilt. If he goes down they all will go down together. They are under no illusion. He is working hard on many aspects of the team and is not under any more 'enormous' pressure than he was round one. I don't know where you get this stuff...l

I don't think it coincidence that we wouldn't offer Tom the money GWS did but we are happy to go there with Cloke. Clearly we didn't think he was worth it and are being proven right.

Cloke and Collingwood - to part or not to part?

God forbid injury strikes again and then we have no one to kick to as usual.... -

Enjoy barracking for GWS....wow it's funny what some ppl will give up on our club so easily. Yes it makes sense to leave a club due to who they do or don't have playing for the club. (read sarcasm) You're not even a fair weather supporter, you are just fickle. Don't post here anymore off you go. -
You think Sanderson had a list equivalent to ours? Even the bombers? Seriously none of those 2 measure up as an example as they didn't do the type of rebuilds we did. Let's face it we purged our senior players and have no A grade seniors like the Crows and bombers do. If we had Watson or Thompson running around for us we would be a lot better for certain.
-
Agreed...
-
Totally, totally agree with you on all of the above Fan. Brings me to the thought of how many more players and coaches get burned at the stake before there is accountability at the top. You are right they have been silent. This second rebuild better work or heads will roll.
-
All understandable questions rf13. Of course these are my interpretations from interactions I have had. We all make interpretations of conversations we have each day. Is this a school of thought right now that is dynamic and will be a moving target as to who goes and stays based on numerous factors..absolutely. What I do know is current group aren't up to it. There needs to be more maturity brought to the list. We need outside runners and that Nicho and Evans will be elevated. There is 2spots already. Add 4-5 draft picks. That's 6-7 without even considering anything else. I'm just offering the clubs current thought process. Thought people might like to know. I'm not here trying to do anything other than add some value to demonlanders who love this club.

Well I would think that anyone doing any job in the world doesn't do it to sacrifice themselves and destroy their career for the sake of their company. They want to both see their business succeed and as a by product be successful themselves. I would have thought that it pretty reasonable suggestion from a coach that there be alignment with what the club wants both in the short term and the long term. Its where there is misalignment we often see coaches and club part with each other. I think Neeld saying he is up for the fight if the club wants him to draft young again is a great sign but he wants this to be an overt decision so unrealistic outcomes are not expected from him. I would certainly be looking for my club for support if we all agreed to go young again. What do you think?
-
I understand your point. I think the club is aware of this and is planning with those contingencies in mind. Its all a bit like watching a car crash in slow motion isn't it!
-
Dont think he is looking for world beaters - he just needs to see if what he has got is worth persisting with.
-
If your second scenario pans out we will simply be going 'young' again with some VFL matures possibly added as top up. We will be in a long term slow rebuild as has been the case for the last how many years...
-
Neeld wants to see him play as decisions need to be made.
-
Absolutely - nothing is certain which is why the club has not committed to many players out of contract so they can resign if needed.
-
I should point out the Coach would happily draft young like some here want as long as the club are prepared to see him rebuild for another 5 years. Otherwise he will have to build a team that is competitive as soon as is possible or he will be lynched.
-
Cook not up to Casey and unlikely ever to be AFL standard. Tough calls are being made. Bad pick. Gysberts no tank, no pace. Fitz will be a judgement call. The footy dept know best. Mission and Neeld come from high standard clubs and know what the benchmarks are.
