  1. If you know all this, do you think its likely MFC will get involved and upgrade a pick or 2?
  2. 0% ???????? WOW. Carlton are the big winners in trade week if they have pulled that off
  3. Oh shut up! It tickled my funny bone. Come to think of it, the common thread is actually Freak... an endless source of entertainment
  4. Carton should've been happy to get bent over bigtime to rid themselves of the Fev Considering alternative possible endings to trade week for them, I'd say this is one of the best they could've hoped for
  5. you've been in good form the past few weeks...
  6. just because you're ignorant of Henderson doesn't mean he's not good. And he has a lot more years in him to come than Fevola Remains to be seen how Fev performs in an attack where he is not the sole main focus... will he become the same old petulant brat when others are kicking goals but he can't get a touch? Don't take 70 goals as a given. This could just as easily implode.
  7. Bulldogs currently have pick 15, 31, 63, 79 and have to use min. 3 We trade 34 & 50 for 31 as an example. Surely we have to get involved in a trade like this. Collingwood have pick 30, 62, 78.
  8. ??????? Carlton are big winners - they get a good young CHF who has been forced to play CHB for most of his short career AND a 1st round pick for a Basket Case they could not offload to any other team. This deal is far far better than Bradshaw & Rischitelli I just wonder how much of his salary the blues have had to pay to get this deal done...
  9. Didn't you earlier suggest a spud like Laycock?
  10. Stand back and read what you just wrote -- how one sided the trades are, how much they rely on rumour and innuendo and how much money Sydney gave Mumford... Also consider the fact that having so many early picks at the draft table are in fact a handicap at the trade table, because other clubs fixate on them and them only, not our rejects. Try offering a club pick 34 when its public knowledge we have 1,2,11 & 18. Another club offers 31 but they have already traded their 1st round pick and its the best they have, so it seems fair. Just... think.
  11. I think we'll make at least a draft pick trade. We have to. Seeing as we won't use pick 50.. If we go up to a team that has, for example, picks 30, 46 and 68, having used their other picks in trades... we could offer 34 and 50 in return for 30. Win-Win. I've not looked at who has what picks, but there must be some teams in a similar position willing to severely upgrade their last pick in exchange for losing a few spots in the 2nd/3rd round
  12. That bastion of truth The Hun has reported that MFC : "Has as much chance of getting Luke Ball as winning next year's flag. Only Mumford-like cash will force a player into the pre-season draft. Had been interested in Andrejs Everitt, but that has cooled." If true, it could be a blessing in disguise. I want Ball, but I am concerned about his body... If this is the case, then WHO do we select in the PSD? Any ideas? (I was joking when I said Kayne Pettifer & Cameron Cloke - add Brad Fisher to that list...)
  13. But its just as if robbo was taking up a spot on the list and now he is gone... So with Whelan, Wheatley and Robbo gone that has freed up 3 spots - dont be confused and think it is 4.
  14. And you mean injury prone at U/18 level like Joel Selwood, Chris Judd, Tom Swift... shall I keep going?
  15. Yeah, strangely. Something about Panos doesn't feel right for me. Too much hype and not enough substance... But its not like I'm a recruiter & I haven't seen him play live, so my opinion is based on very little. No different to the majority of posters on this forum...
  16. The way I understand it it actually does free up a spot on the list, but means you can take 1 less rookie. But he'd just be replacing Robbo anyway.
  17. Who the Fu*% is Jarrad Blight and why is he an untouchable on Collingwood's list???
  18. Griffiths. Not keen on Panos.
  19. Buchy played a similar sort of role for the falcons. I remember in the TAC Cup grand final before he was drafted he got best on ground, kicking something like 9 or 10 goals, playing as a small forward out of the goal square. A bit like Gary Ablett Jr when he first started.
  20. Nobody has bothered with this yet? Burgoyne to Hawthorn for... oh bugger it. The link is here: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/cats...f-1225784499869 Hawks get Burgoyne Essendon gets Mark Williams and pick 24 Port gets pick 9, 16 and Jay Nash Geelong gets a few late draft picks
  21. He was in the Australian Team for the International Rules in either 05 or 06, can't remember which...
  22. Mainly cos the Saints aren't looking for a pick in return, but rather a player. Both teams have plenty of those...
