  1. Hope its a good night weather wise. Just watched the saints, tigers game. It's to early in the year to hear the tigers theme song.
  2. I'll watch it. I haven't watched a footy match since, oh I don't know, our premiership. Looking forward to watching tomorrow to see what Tayla can bring to our forward line, our superstar Daisy and Mitho and obviously we keep that Melbourne winning form going.
  3. i think Harris will be very very handy up forward for us. We know the talent she has and I think playing with Daisy and having her as her captain will make a massive difference and help her a lot.
  4. Yep as someone who works in aged care thankfully for the moment we have kept it out but I feel the walls are closing in. Which would just shatter me because we have kept it at bay for now and after all our hard work last year it would just annoy me as we are all doubled vaccinated and getting the booster next week. The stupid thing is visitors must have had a flu shot before they can even enter the front door but he covid vaccine isn't mandatory for visitors. Which makes no sense. My manager has been fighting with the fed government for months on this.
  5. It's weird, the more I hear about it the more I just cannot believe we actually did it. On abc grandstand they just replayed highlights and I got all excited again. We actually did it.
  6. You would hope the person that had it didn't know they had it & I hope they weren't waiting for there result but decided to still go anyway. Its amazing we had 35000 at the G & got through unscathed but couldn't stop it appearing at the B&F
  7. Im pretty sure I read in an extract of Maxy's book he said the week of the gf he was avoiding going out because he didn't want to put himself at risk of covid. But I know they have to live their lives but it's a risk going out the night before a game. Not only do you have to dodge covid but food poisoning is a risk to. Anyway he will get the quickest covid test ever done.
  8. Someone took the premiership sticker off the back of my mum's car today. How low can you get, I told her it was probably either someone who hates Melbourne or an upset dogs supporter.
  9. Can't believe it was a week ago. I laughed when the bont put them 19 points up and a guy that was near us said that's it this game is done, I'm going home. Everyone laughed. You knew that was the moment people were waiting for because it was just so awesome after that.
  10. I got the victory pack when JB HIFI had a 30% off sale. I think I'll just watch the 3rd quarter of the prelim, called the Max Gawn quarter and may have to go back and rewatch the first final because I really can't remember a lot of it as it was so long ago. Gave my Dad the mousepad for his brithday. Great useful gift. Still have to get the WEG posters framed but finally got everything I wanted.
  11. I haven't been back since that dark day
  12. Also why do we have to play nth on there ground again?
  13. Seriously why can't we play west coast at home? Also I think it's harsh we play the last round interstate. St least we only play essenscum once & I can't believe we have to trek back to Geelong. Is may 8th mother's Day? Great fixturing 1pm.
  14. We better not be sent down to Geelong.
  15. I remember days after we won Paul Roos came out and made a comment about our win. Pretty sure he is in Hawaii still anyway. I think this board and CEO are focusing on the future ad not the past. Kate made a comment on Sunday that she used to hear Melbourne supporters called long suffering Melbourne supporters, she said now we are just Melbourne supporters. This is a new era and may it continue. On another note was Choco there on sunday?
  16. Yeah that's what I was wondering. What the wash up with that was. Did the tear just repair itself?
  17. Listened to the Ox on his show this arvo at 5. He said it was a great day and better than he expected. He said he knew it would be a good day but it was great seeing past players & he said he put the sunnies on when Neale went up because he got that emotional. Am I right in saying that the children that presented the medals were children of past players? because I heard Gaz say Neita's daughter was presenting and I think she gave Spargo his medal. Also I love this photo of the past players taken on stage.
  18. Well done to all involved in organising that. What a great day. Garry as MC was a good choice. He is just a natural public speaker Loved how they did the premiership cup relay like format. Loved seeing former players there including McDonald, Schwarz, farmer, Grinter &any of the older legends. Can't help but think of Jim & how he would have enjoyed this. Good to see Todd Viney be part of the cup presentation & I hope he & jack get a photo of the cup together. Good to hear Simon speak and can I just say how amazing Neale daniher is. Yes his speech has virtually gone & his hands have weakened but to walk up on stage on his own & stand there then continue to walk around the ground, just so good to see him there. And it was bloody good to be back at the G
  19. What a great day. They didn't play we are The Champions when they did there half a lap
  20. Yep, he & the ox handed the cup to Jones & nev to present to max. Love the way they did the cup presentation.
  21. Don't think Jackson's here
  22. Brad greens here to. Cheersquad on the ground forming a guard of honour, kids are lined up to present the medals. Just need the final siren so players can come out
