the owner of the camp site's name is mick he told me the players camp out a few nights (obviously) and when we went there we rode horses to each site and used their billies to cook and stuff. i don't think there would be much training unless the players walked or ran the tracks. i reckon it's a bonding-orientated camp

went on that camp this year great place and the owner is an absolute champ. mad melbourne fan

Update on three Demon players from the MFC

i don't understand. are you saying wonaeamirri is injured again, or that it would be a pity if he WAS injured again? -
Tapscott was said to have the best kick in the carnival he can play midfield or HBF, HFF. hardly one-dimensional
-
mmm exactly keane should have been subbed on for crouch
-
omg defoe cost us 2 points should have scored 3 also fellaini and neill should ahve been sent off. fellaini is a disgrace
-
With his performances in his debut season and Bailey and Jonesy talking him up on his training performances, Jamie Bennell is more likely to play round one than most people think in this poll
-
this is what i was referring to** i'm saying some 3rd defenders can quite possibly do better on jurrah than a 1st or 2nd defender this shows that putting a big body like martin or jamar up forward doesn't instantly liberate jurrah and let him kick bags
-
mackie played on jurrah this year and won the dual convincingly...

Bate and even Jones are above Morton in regards to leadership IMO
-
nope that's all i have to go on way to answer a question with a question

5 Years in the Future....How the 2015 Team might look?
Brayshaw Self replied to hayz's topic in Melbourne Demons
Viney is at Prince Alfred College, where Trengove and Tapscott were Viney played 1st XVIII in year 9, first person in 135 apparently Trengove and Tapscott couldnt even do this We are looking at a promising prospect -
Gaff, Wallis, Liberatore (barring father-son)

Soon we will have 5 ruckmen on our list With all the talk of a Jamar trade back to SA in trade week, will it possibly happen next year? Maybe we were preparing for the trade by drafting 2 ruckmen? Also Adelaide have a surplus of KPFs so it could pan out well for us...

WELCOME TO THE DEES LUKE TAPSCOTT!
Brayshaw Self replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
fantastic to get tapscott, trengove's best mate, especially at pick 18 there's footage of the two giving the old one-two against metro plays exactly like chapman but with a better, bigger kick he can walk straight into the team next year and will intimidate the opposition straight away. not bad for an 18 yr old opposition players will need three sets of eyes with sylvia, tapscott and moloney reeking havoc -
so if he doesn't nominate for the ND, he's our yeh?
-
I think we should go for the best available at pick 11, which would most likely be a midfielder. I'd love to see Lewis Jetta in our side but by pick 18 some good key forwards may have been taken already Picks 1 and 2 are undoubtedly being used on Scully and Trengove and it's unlikely thata decent key forward will be available through the PSD so if pick 11 was used on a forward it would be understandable aswell. Thoughts please?

saints about to announce another trade according to SEN

If we beat all the teams we beat this year (both times we play them) AND add the likes of sydney, north melbourne and maybe essendon we can win 10 games. In 2009 we lost 6 games by under 4 goals Barring injury, I HIGHLY doubt we'll go backwards
-
haha good thinking everitt would add depth to our backline and ball would give moloney some support and add some more grunt to our young midfield next season i hope this goes through. we could make the 8

Jamar and Miller Signed to Dees
Brayshaw Self replied to Armitage Shanks's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think people are unfairly judging Miller on his efforts this year and not taking into account his performances in the past Earlier this year he was referred to as "one of the best lead-up CHFs in the league" by Malcolm Blight. no joke CHF is the hardest position on the ground to perform well in if you are in the worst team in the league. I wouldn't be surprised if Miller had a solid year in 2010 (50+ goals) with better delivery from midfield and enough pressure through the middle so he doesn't always have to push up. He has demonstrated the ability to pull down strong marks (and attractive women), run out games strongly and with a bit of luck he can kick it straight in front of the big sticks. You never know: an extention on the one-year contract or an appealing bid from GC is possible this time next year. Give Brad a chance -
no steamin you are not superior or more mature who cares about ranks on this? obviously you have nothing in your life worthwhile or you wouldn't be starting blog fights with FELLOW SUPPORTERS. it's clearly the highlight of your week. we're all here to post our OPINIONS you arrogant [censored]

pick 34 and swap of 4th rounders for chris dawes
-
We have enough medium forwards who can go through midfield We desperately need a BIG bodied forward who can take attention off Watts and LJ Panos is a better option at 11 or 18 than Tapscott in relation to team needs, IMO
