I don't think you're being realistic. 10 years is indeed awful, but as old dee pointed, the worst of those years was the season before last. You are demanding we go from 2 wins to 12/13 wins in the space of 3 years. Unfortunately, the odds and history are against that

my understanding was that earlier in the year, we looked like having only having pick 2 to use (before we knew Frawley was gone and that we would indeed get a first round compo) and it was also assumed that Petracca would go at 1 - therefore it was Brayshaw that our interest was in. Then, we got the compo pick and at the same time McCartin firmed for no1 so it changed things. I think it is entirely fair to say that had we had only pick 2 it may well have been Brayshaw

Fair enough We probably should have finished about 25th on the ladder in 2013!

but we do have an elite coach and a very solid list turnover of about 10 spots in our regular 22 since then not to mention more high draft picks we should be on the way back

agreed.. I would like to see us take it up to the best sides on a few occasions so that we can build some belief. If we get 8 wins, but they are all against the bottom 6 sides, and the top6 sides all thrash us soundly, that's not so great for the future.

PFT 1. and 6. are absolutely nothing cases and 2-5 are all attributed to two indivduals who longer play for us.. and in any case are pretty tame offenses

Hawthorn will be very happy to have acquired his services. We got a highly rated kid out of it but it is not yet a win, not by a long shot.
