You had Magner on the list to be gone 2 years ago? Can I have a loan of your crystal ball? I need to know how much longer we have to put up with the tripe we've seen this season.
-
Enright is a UFA, eh? Hmmmmm........
-
Sorry to bump, but there's no chance McKenzie is a fringe player. Would have to be one of the first picked every week.
-
Pffft. As if we'll pick this Viney spud. Didn't even make AA. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/140661/default.aspx

Well hopefully Neeld can do what RDB almost did for a 6th time, and drag this club, kicking and screaming, to a premiership!

1981 would beg to differ. Won one game by one point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_VFL_season

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Dr. Mubutu replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't worry BB, he'll be tagged when he inevitably plays in the TAC Cup, as well as at Casey, and the usual suspects will emerge bemoaning "What a spud!"; "Can't believe we're interested in this kid!"; "The sky is falling!" -
Yep, Mitch Clark.
-
There's no way that Mark Williams isn't really the senior coach of that team. Sheeds is just the media face.
-
This, mostly. I'd prefer Kennedy at 12(13?). Seems to be able to go forward and CRUMB! All being said, If we are forced to take Viney with 3, I'd probably go Stringer ahead of Toumpas with pick 4.
-
I wouldn't be too worried about that right now, it looks like they've just got them in in alphabetical order until final sides are named.
-
Wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't play until the weekend of the 28th, and even then, probably at Casey.
-
That's because it's been explained in umpteen other threads on here over the past month.....
-
Play Jack Viney at Casey in '13 so we get picks 3 & 4.
Dr. Mubutu replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Viney will almost certainly play next year at Casey. After being put on the MFC Senior list at the draft. -
There is NO WAY that GC will take a grab-bag of NQR's for a 2nd-round pick, especially since they have to cull 4 players from their primary list BEFORE the three they are forced to by the draft rules.
-
Well I'm fairly sure he can't play in the game at TIO against Port.....
-
Plays his role with aplomb. Hard at it tagger, who is also an in-and-under and tackles all day. No-one else currently plays this role in the team. It looks like Neeld is trying to build up Magner and Moloney's defensive side by playing them in the forward line, but until they develop these attributes, Jordie is stuck being this player for the MFC. And I have absolutely no problems with it at all.
-
No way in hell we'll delist Fitzpatrick. To have another 200+cm crumber and marking target in the forwardline? Given he has diabetes, this may be a possible reason he hasn't bulked up. Now they know, they can alter his training/eating habits to allow him to fill out. I'd be giving him at least another 2 years.
-
The cupboard's not bare, it's just a bit wonky. Jamar - 2010 AA (injured) Martin - Serviceable - presents decently and has passable tap work Spencer - less said the better Fitzpatrick - Coming back from injury, looks to be being groomed as the backup ruck/forward Gawn - Horrific run with injuries, wouldn't be surprised if it's due to growth, has shown good signs. That's about 1/8th of the list in the ruck department. I doubt very much that we'll reach for a ruckman at this stage.
-
Exactly. We went from the second most potent in 2010 to what we saw on Sunday. Shows how much we miss Jurrah, really. Or, as has been brought up elsewhere, maybe Juice is the solution?

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, McKenzie needs to handball more. Once the spread is working properly, and he actually has someone to handball TO, I'd be surprised if he kicks more than 5 times a game.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Dr. Mubutu replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nope, named as emergency only. That's what he's supposed to be wearing....... Be interesting to see if Hrovat gets picked up. Doing a decent job, may be a little short? Edit: Damn, hardtack beat me to it!
