PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I hope Viney is fully fit and not taking the spot of someone who is. Frost could be used on a wing or up forward is my guess

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I guess 50 years of following the Demons have made me a bit anxious. I still get excited and hope for the best, but I’ve been let down too many times to be completely positive when there are obvious injury and form concerns. Of course I’m hoping like hell that we win, but just being a realist on current form it’s going to be a difficult prospect down at Cat Park.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I’ll reserve my judgement until after this game, I’ve seen too much of Melbourne over the years to have blind faith . Saw some disturbing things over the last 4 games that don’t exactly instill me with confidence. It could all be injury and fitness issues and I hope they can step up to the plate but those sorts of things don’t usually resolve themselves overnight

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Omac will most likely be the second tall defender with Lever as the third tall/intercept marker, and May full back. As far as changes go I think it will be : In KK , Stretch ,May Out Hore, Frost , Spargo

I don’t like it. No sir, I don’t like it one bit.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
I can’t believe what Jordan Lewis just said on 360. He basically inferred that there wasn’t enough effort from the players on Saturday. How can you go into a new season, round one after playing finals the previous year and being fancied as a real premiership chance and not give any effort in round one??? Im dumbfounded. Ill never understand what goes through these blokes heads.

OUR FUTURE TEAM
Can’t believe your leaving Petracca out ,he was great in the finals , and probably our best player in the JLT ,I still rate him highly . He wasn’t the only one who struggled on Saturday.

Crowd support for the Demons
Our Cheer squad was pretty quiet, Port supporters were in full voice.

Jack Viney and the medical staff...
We were playing with one short on the weekend , but why put the clearly injured player in the middle ? Why not Petracca or ANB or Salem? Viney was not even contesting, I just don’t get it.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
All I hear them talk about is load. We got the work into them and they have had enough load. What a load of crap. DId Viney and Jones have enough load?clearly not. So what the hell are they on about if they don’t follow their own rules??

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
We were also poor in the JLT, and very poor in our last game of the year, so that’s four ordinary performances in a row. I hope they prove me wrong but we look really slow out there.

I’m still peed off. This is what happens when the Demons lose. Stuffs up your weekend.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
I thought we look meek. We were brutal in our finals against Geelong and Hawthorn, and without too much outside run we simply have to win it in this area but we’re shown up by Boak and Rockliff and the harassment of Gawn. Im still perplexed at Vineys performance, fair enough he was short of a gallop, but his intensity was really poor.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
If Viney is not right we can’t afford to carry him again

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Even the Port supporters were louder than the Melbourne supporters, really bad day.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
I think teams have worked us out already and West Coast showed them the way. Just get it on the outside as quick as possible as we have no run. Game over everytime

Watts was good

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
No leadership, no run, and the agression was missing too.. They got the selection of Viney terribly wrong . Looked so unfit.

Lewis Out - Tom Sparrow In
I would have thought Oskar Baker would be more ready to debut than Tom, he would give us a bit of extra pace too, but having said that I hope young Sparrow flies high today.
