I think you are missing the point, no one is suggesting he is not a good young player, just that coming off an injury and limited preparation ,may not be ready for round one. In the same breath that Garland or clark are not ready for round one versus stkilda, which is what this thread is about. Chillax.

How lucky are we to have youngsters the calibre of Viney,Toumpas,Hogan,Tyson,JKH,Salem and co. A bright future ahead.

Recent form , intra club and NAB challenge have Watts and Michie ahead of Viney as midfielders , averaging more than 20 possesions each.Viney....no recent form to speak of. Lets hope Jack Viney has a great game v the Hawks so he can be considered for rpund one rpfc.

Not saying he isnt a chance. Just saying Watts and Michie are ahead of him at this stage,which is a fact you still dispute. Personally i hope Viney tears it up against Hawthorn and is picked in the side that will also certainly include Watts and Michie.

22 possesions is not a bad start for someome playing his first game as a midfielder.

Hes not ahead of Watts and Michie just yet. Not even a certainty to play round one, where as the other two are a lock in.

Id put Watts and Michie before Viney at this stage,as he is still a developing kid with limited preparation,and will be used with stints in the forward line,as Roos has already mentioned,just like Toumpas.

Thats right, Tyson is proving the doubters wrong already, and we still have Salem . Kelly will be a good player, but we got two out of the deal.

Id be very surprised if Georgiou and toumpas didnt play round one.

I can imagine salem in that team, with his elite disposal. Things are looking extremley positive,we can see the light for the first time in years. This team will get better, and better and better. Remember brand new game plan, and the new recruits are first class. Coach goes alright too.
