  1. JVR definitely needs a rest, and sooner we get Petty into that back line again the better.
  2. We keep gifting games to guys that are consistently mediocre.
  3. We are starting to slip to a side that is mid table. Definitely not looking like top 4 right now. Backline is definitely not as good as it once was. Outside of Trac and Oliver we really don’t have many top line onballers. Our forward line is lacking a consistent go to goal kicker that can get us out of trouble when needed, and our tackling and pressure is not as fierce as it was two years ago . We are thereabouts but far from a dominant football team. Carlton could even beat us on their day and if Collingwood beats us comprehensively in 2 weeks we will not be worthy contenders . Next fortnight will be huge and sort out the men from the boys.
  4. To me it doesn’t look like we have the same manic desire we had in 21. That doesn’t mean it can’t come back if we start to play with more intensity in the second half, maybe we are pacing ourselves, I don’t know. Collingwood seem to have that energy we lack at the moment . The competition has improved significantly over the past two seasons, but have we? We certainly don’t seem to have as many players in All Australian contention, outside Trac and Clarry and the back line isn’t as dominant in the air as it has been.
  5. Quite possible he may only be out for a couple and fingers crossed be back for Collingwood if it’s only a minor hammie
  6. I’d like to see Brayshaw , Kozzie and Rivers get extended runs in the middle to help cover the loss of Clarry
  7. Just reported it on 9 news as well
  8. Out for 4
  9. Our back line just doesn’t seem to be as dependable this year. I really think Petty is the key to that as he frees everyone else up to do their thing.
  10. Why do certain players always seem to have their best games against us? If you look at Butters last night, who was the match winner for them, we just can’t seem to clamp these guys down, Dominated all night, and caused us alot of damage with seemingly no one on him?
  11. I’m very proud of that effort
  12. One of Kozzies best
  13. Finally some luck
  14. Butters is on his own too many times
  15. Wasn’t even 5 meters
  16. We need to pull our finger out and get aggressive and on the attack with plenty of back up run!
  17. Ive said it before and I’ll say it again. Why are we so putrid in clearances??
  18. Gee you’d think we were a bottom of the ladder side with that schedule. We are top two and have been a consistent top 4 side for three years now, and all those bloody twilight games with not one Friday night game
  19. That was joyous. the love we have showed to koz and his family went a long way to him resigning i bet. So good to have a guy like whelan on board too. love kozzie and (big brother)Trac, and so glad they are with us for the long term.
  20. Just when he started to hit some form too. If Brown and TMac aren’t right I guess they might go with Joel Smith
  21. If anyone can beat them we can, but have to be somewhere near our best, and don’t let them get us with their run through the middle and on the outside. They get alot of goals out the back too, but if we work hard we can really punish them on turnover, as long as we don’t kick it straight to the likes of Darcy Moore. I like the way Crows and Swannies played them, that’ll give us a few clues.
  22. Bailey Laurie hasn’t put a foot wrong and has been in A1 form all year. Runs really hard from contest to contest and has sublime skill. Small in stature , but pick of the subs so far for mine. Melksham offers a bit of X factor as a sub as well, and can hurt them on the scoreboard
  23. I feel Jordons not really taking his chances. Played a half yesterday was was fairly pedestrian.
  24. 6.Viney 5. Trac 4. ANB 3. Clarry 2. Hibberd 1. Brayshaw
