  1. Collingwood far from dominant scraping over the line in every game. The luckiest least dominant side to win a flag in decades. A happy Maynard just grates on me.
  2. Out TMac, Brayshaw, Lawrie. In Grundy, Woewodin, Jordon.
  3. Maynard knew exactly what he was doing and that was to take a player out. No other outcome was possible when he chose to leave the ground and make front on contact , whether the ball was in the vicinity or not.
  4. Our two must successfully tried forwards this year albeit short lived were Melksham and Petty. Rotten luck that we don’t have them for finals. On a side note, are we missing Spargos forward connection nous?
  5. If we had lowered our eyes even 20% of the time instead of bombing it long to Darcy Moore we win. Its one of the most obvious things in football and we fell for it, as we blazed away instead of working it short. Dumb Coaching
  6. Our two best forwards this year were Petty and Melksham. Sad we couldn’t see them the finals
  7. Even a Jefferson would be a better option than most of our forwards at this stage. Melksham going down was a much bigger disaster than we could have imagined.
  8. Fumbliest game I’ve seen Melksham play. Petty would’ve clunked at least a couple tonight and we may have won with Max in the ruck more. im not too worried though, hurry up fritter!
  9. What a crazy weird year. We search and search for the right combination, finally find it and lose a key forward with a foot injury. We lost T Mac with a foot injury as well , and our best forward in Fritsch with another foot injury.
  10. If we use Joel smith in his spot and bring Thommo back down back, that would work. We could also use this as an opportunity to bring in Grundy and see what works the next three weeks until fritta comes back.
  11. That guy that can take a strong contested mark and lead up as well is what we’ve been looking for , and is the final piece of the puzzle so to speak. Petty is a very strong contested beast and perfect for the role. I noticed that even Van Rooyen was leading more as well , so to have two big athletic guys moving around and clunking marks makes them difficult to cover. Cant see BBB or TMac getting much of a look in now. Melky is the perfect foil and super smart, and we will have two of them too when Fritter comes back. On a side note, I can see TMac taking Tomlinsons spot if gets fit in time.
  12. The team is really starting to take shape at the right time of year. With Clarry, Fritsch and Sparrow , as best 22 players still to come back, who goes out? Im thinking Jordon, Woewodin and Harmes as the unlucky ones. Very happy with the look of our forward line now and it looks very exiting with the two young contested beasts in JVR and Petty, and Melky, Kozzie, Chandler , Nibbeler and at times Petracca at their feet. Shout out to Trent Rivers who is having an outstanding season and a real weapon off half back now with those long deep kicks.
  13. JVR and Petty both have swagger essential ingredient in key forwards
  14. I’m excited about the Combination of Petts , Roo and Melky Fritter comes back and we have Kozzie and Chandler looking good too. Stick with that for the rest of the year now
  15. They threw everything at us, but we stood tall and found our best forward line combination for the year with Petts, Roo, and Melky!
  16. 6 Gawn 5 Petty 4 Petracca 3. Melksham 2. Viney 1 Brayshaw
  17. I hope we make the most of this opportunity and win big tomorrow. We can not only move up to third , but if the Crows beat Port and we keep winning and Port drop one more we could finish second.
  18. That was the most fun any Blues fan has had at the footy in decades
  19. I’ve completely switched off most footy media now except for the front bar. Anything with David King, Kane Cornes, Robbo, Whateley, Buckley is instant switch stations for me and I’m loving the peace of mind.
  20. 6.viney 5. Pickett 4. Gawn 3. Brayshaw 2. Chandler 1. Rivers
  21. It’s all media noise and Buckley him self was an unsuccessful coach so he cant tell a premiership coach in Goodwin how he should handle his players. Grundy is high profile so it’s causing alot of debate, but in the end it’s about what’s best for the team period. Sure some might feel sorry for him , but what about a Dunstan or a Tomlinson? Its just about getting the right mix and putting us in the best shape and position to win another flag.
  22. These days it means he has amazing reflexes the way he moves
  23. He is an absolute cat!
  24. I’ve absolutely loved Trac and Melksham up forward the last couple of weeks. Also think Kozzie is so much better running on the ball from higher up the ground than sitting in the forward pocket. The talls still need work though as I don’t think JVR is quite there yet. Brown works hard but can’t take a contested mark We may yet see Grundy back up forward or even TMac if he can get fit. Still have Fritter up our sleeve for finals
  25. How good was Vineys goal when he basically ripped it out if the Lions players hand , did a spin and snapped it! Pure will power and strength. That gave us real belief and everyone grew another leg after that.
