  1. Yes, because Geelong picking up Brad Ottens was such a big mistake. Or Port picking up Dave Rodan, another massive blunder. There is talent on their list, the football department may be up the creek but there is still some decent personnel on that list. It's extremely difficult to look good in a lousy team and factor in his bad run with injuries. I'm not saying we should pick up Coughlan but you can't dismiss players because they come from a crappy team. That's pure ignorance.
  2. Jamie Shanahan?? That's insane.
  3. Have to say, very cool to see somebody sporting a Nathan Brown display pic. Props for that!
  4. I didn't say Williams is huge, I said Williams going to Essendon is pretty huge. Bit of a difference there, anybody who can read could tell you that.
  5. "The Next Big Thing" Jack Grimes.
  6. Williams to Essendon is pretty huge, he was a top forward before he got injured and the Buddy/Roughead tandem came onto the scene. Being a top option up forward for the Dons might work wonders for him and the Bombers. Bring back the shotgun!
  7. NFL? I was thinking it looks NBL, cheap & nasty like.
  8. Decent for me is anything this side of pick 40, anything after seems like a selection that wont be used.
  9. From what I've seen and heard, Carlton are the only club interested in him. I'd be happy to see him go, provided we get something decent in exchange.
  10. Ball for mine, he is an absolute workhorse and supremely under-rated at St Kilda. Burgoyne on the other hand comes across as over-rated at Port Adelaide. I'd be happy with either but I'm more confident Ball would be the better option for a rejuvenated career at Melbourne.
  11. Pick 60 isn't worth much and neither is Clarke, not much of a trade.
  12. A super-sized one at that. Picking up Ball in the PSD would be a dream recruit for us right now and would knock the re-building phase up a couple of gears. Just like Judd did for the Blues. Please St Kilda, keep rejecting the Pies offers!
  13. Opinion. I also doubt he'll still be available by pick 18.
  14. Don't need to check any facts, I re-signed as soon as I got the 'Barry Prendergast' email. I got an email about Flash re-signing but not the text message.
  15. The Joke Watts clips are funny but I don't think it's a sign of things to come. Watts will be the man up forward in a few years time. Believe that.
  16. Great news indeed, but a shame that members who have already signed on for next year didn't get the text.
  17. - Herald Sun Top notch journalism right there, Cooney (who seemed equally hammered and luckily enough for him, wasn't hosting street talk) knocked the beer out of Fevola's hand, it's right there on the footage. Anything to make a story more dramatic though I guess.
  18. Not worth a consideration for mine, never rated Maguire and I'm confident I never will. And he's 26 already, how much less crap/less injury-prone can he get?
  19. I would be more than happy with either Tapscott or Panos with the 11th pick, hopefully one or both are still available at that stage of the draft.
  20. He has already proven himself worthy as being the second pick, I see no problem with him playing a grand final instead of attending the draft camp. 29 touches and a match-winning mark, this kid is going to be something special. No doubt about it.
  21. The goal one was a shocking decision, that umpire should never umpire another final. The Riewoldt/Lake incident last week was nearly as bad and against the spirit of the game. But the Milburn one was fair enough, he flipped off the umpire right in his face while yelling at him.
  22. Bailey had the balls to do what Daniher never could, thanks to that we have #1 and #2 draft picks this year. And he will always have my respect and backing for doing it.
  23. Carlton without Fevola would leave a massive hole in the forward line and for a finals ready squad, it's not the best of ideas. This year's Coleman medalist and that guy who kicked 99 goals last year. It would take an offer from The Godfather himself to send Fev elsewhere next year and I just don't see it happening. I think it's a song & dance to keep the sponsors happy and for the football club to maintain face.
  24. A competitive 22 every week playing a brand of footy worth watching. Wins and ladder position mean little to me, progression is everything.
  25. I disagree, they are a very young list and needed to keep some of the older talent to stay credible... or should I say 'competitive'. Getting rid of Nathan Brown, Mark Coughlan and Shane Tuck is ridiculous, they are easily among the top 10 on their list. It will come back to bite them on the arse just like de-listing Dave Rodan did. There are going to be some ugly days ahead for the Tigers, there is no way I can see them avoiding the wooden spoon next year.
