  1. Brock McLean for mine, might be rough around the edges but he is our best leader and the guy I want representing my club as captain. Also for anyone saying Brad Green, MASSIVE NO, he played hard-ball with the club over contract negotiations to beef up his price right in the midst of the debt demolition.
  2. Dunn is the goods, I don't see why even 6 people would want him delisted? I think it's more about Bailey settling on a postion for him because the kid can play anywhere, I'd like to see him primarily as a forward. And Bate is a gun also.
  3. Looked at the fixture, they are playing Essendon at Subiaco next week which is definitely a chance of an upset (keep in mind the Eagles beat the Dons last week or the week before). Then Geelong at Skilled Stadium.
  4. I would more be leaning towards Cameron Mooney and David Johnson. Then again, I'm not a Cats supporter.
  5. I am assuming your listing midfielders? If so, Strauss and Grimes are defenders. Bennell too. And Davey would be better utilized as a forward flanker.
  6. The Blues are coming back from SA so there might be a bit of fatigue but if they are serious about the finals this year, they should get the job done next week. St Kilda is a no brainer, no chance in hell of us beating them in round 22.
  7. He didn't get picked up last year because he was ineligible to nominate due to age, same reason as Scully. He will definitely go by the time round 3 comes along and for an 18 year old, I think that was a very impressive highlight reel. Not all draft picks are Daniel Rich, that's where a word called "development" comes into play.
  8. Big inclusions and the retirements factor, I think the Dockers are in some trouble. Expecting a big one from Jurrah.
  9. As much as I would enjoy seeing the Dockers get downed tomorrow and am almost certain of it happening, I hope we lose and again next week to Carlton. I want there to be no doubt about getting the priority pick which is worth so much at such a crucial time.
  10. A single premiership in my lifetime would be enough, anything on top of that would be a massive bonus. As for Hawthorn, sure they are going to miss the finals this year but atleast they know they have a list capable of closing the deal. Their premiership window is still well and truly open, just not this year.
  11. - Jack Grimes - Aaron Davey - Liam Jurrah - Matthew Bate - Colin Garland - Brock McLean - Nathan Jones - Stefan Martin - Jack Watts - Cale Morton
  12. McKinley yes, the other 2 no. Especially Seaby, definitely a lemon, will probably end up at Richmond or North Melbourne. Already have McNamara, McLean, McKenzie, McDonald at the club- I'm sure McKinley would fit right in.
  13. He's worth keeping, great at VFL level but yet to find his feet in the AFL. He's 22, so he is worth the risk. I got this feeling that when he comes good and plays the footy he's capable of, it will be well worth the wait.
  14. - Russell Robertson: His best football is behind him. - James McDonald: Hopefully stays at the club after retirement but he should leave on his own terms instead of being forced out by injury. - Paul Wheatley: Already announced retirement. - Matthew Whelan: Already announced retirement. - Brad Miller: Tradebait and if we get nothing for him, then delisting. I have never rated Miller. - Cameron Bruce: Still a strong force at AFL level but rebuilding should take priority. - Danny Hughes: To free space for another pick, if nothing comes along then get him back in the pre-season draft.
  15. All of it worth watching, it's enough to sell me on taking this guy over John Butcher if going for the midfield/forward approach. I think the best policy would be to go for the best talent available in the draft, even if that means 2 midfielders. And on top of that I would take an elite midfielder over an elite forward any day of the week. Games are won and lost in the midfield and IMO, they play a far more important role. With that said Tom Scully and Jack Trengove would be my choices and hopefully Matthew Panos taken with the first pick of the second round (though I doubt he'll still be available at that stage of the draft). But whatever way this all goes down, I am going to be more than happy with whatever we get.
