"We want to be like Collingwood"
That's not correct, the article clearly states she is talking about the noise level of the supporters as well as the number of supporters. It is a fair comment, I don't know why anyone would feel offended. Obviously it's not all Melbourne supporters, many of us are lunatics that go berserk (after having too many coffees/ red bulls 😄 ) but a large portion are very quiet and sit on their hands, the loudest they get is when they are making negative comments about the team. I've seen it week in, week out for 35 years. I remember sitting in the old red seats in the 80s/90s and one guy in particular walking up and down the aisle pleading with the supporters to get up and make noise. It definitely has an impact on the team, I've seen players (notably Petracca) gesture to the supporters to make more noise and get loud. It's not just when we kick a goal or react to another act on the field, supporters should be proactively cheering to encourage the team and lift their momentum.

He would be a big loss and put a massive hole in our list

Go and Get JUH
Marking isn't an issue, can't kick straight. Would be a good intercept defender.

I still find it phenomenal that we cracked 70k last year considering where we were a decade ago.

POSTGAME: Opening Round vs Sydney
I don't think he spat the dummy, I think the club were relying on him playing more time forward as he got older to protect him and make the combo work. Unfortunately Max is a poor forward, way to innacurate from set shots and takes the shots on the run he should be handing off. Played out of his skin in the 21 Prelim which set a ridiculously high standard that it's impossible for him to reach again. We weren't gonna dump Max so when him playing forward for larger parts wasn't an option we tried to shoehorn Grundy into that role. He's not a natural forward either and when we dropped him to the VFL to improve his forward craft I think he probably saw the writing on the wall and checked out. That's why he didn't play finals, even as a sub.

Targeting Max
If you're relying on Fullarton to be the physical presence you may be disappointed. He seems more in the tall, athletic mould than the bullocking Mumford mould.

POSTGAME: Opening Round vs Sydney
Come off it he's played one season as a mostly lone key forward in a team with [censored] poor delivery. If you want to point the finger look at our leaders, Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Gawn, ANB, Langdon, Lever disposal not good enough. How many times did they hack it forward, kick over a teammates head, kick directly to the opposition? JVR is far from the problem and neither are Schache, Laurie or Spargo despite how poor they might have been too.

POSTGAME: Opening Round vs Sydney
Too many players not up to AFL in the one team. Schache and Laurie chief among them, Chandler and Spargo not far behind. I'm not an ANB basher but he hardly did much tonight, Petraccas disposal was awful, as was Rivers, Clarry underdone, Salem too many dinky handballs etc Gameplan is garbage, nothing has changed. Our one wood is contest and defence? Maybe it should be kicking goals.
