Chol and Peter Wright are two who would've filled a massive hole as key forwards and 2nd ruck. We may have asked and been knocked back but the fact we were never linked to either in the media tells me we probably never bothered. I'm sure there are others and they are not world beaters but they do ok and would have complemented us nicely.

But what was with all the fumbles, dropped balls,slipping over etc? It looked like we were playing on an ice rink with a bar of wet soap at times. Can't fault the endeavour or even the structure but the execution killed us.

Turner should've gone forward in the 2nd quarter. Endeavour was fine, skills were deplorable. Langford and Lindsay were great. Kolt should not have been sub. Fritsch if you can't nail regulation set shots you're no use to us.

Very good second half after failing to capitalise early and things went pear shaped in the 2nd quarter. Gawn was immense again. Kicked that goal at the end when the pressure was off which hopefully helps get the monkey off the back. Petracca, Viney did well but I thought Windsor, Chandler and Salem stood up when it counted. Disco huge in the 3rd quarter as well after Petty was subbed out. Tholstrup had a "nearly" game, could've had 3 if things went his way. Some will want him dropped but I'd prefer to give him a solid block and back him in. He is getting to where the footy is and his manic pressure is required inside 50. If he keeps working hard the results will come. Huge game now next week against the Hawks.

Gawn and Petracca senior leaders missing relative sitters (Tracs a bit harder but should be nailing those) absolutely kill us. Not good enough. Chandler burning Fritsch open in the pocket. In a basic explanation Freo zone off and play more aggressive so it was easier to get through their zone with handball. Richmond flooded back into our forward half more so trying to run through with handball would ultimately see us hit a brick wall

He did point to Gawn but he also got around Chandler as did about half the team which was great to see. That kind of behaviour is infectious

He needs a dedicated key forward coach, he has the tools it is up to us to help him develop them into a consistent key forward.

Doesn't help that we play a home game vs Saints in NT and WCE at Docklands. Saints game should be at the G and one of the GWS/Freo/Suns/WCE games in NT. It's absolutely stupid fixturing us to play another Vic team there.

Yeah 95 semi I was there, my cousin is a tigers supporters so went to quite a few of their games when I was a kid

First half was really poor but the 3rd quarter was very good. Could've put the foot down for some much needed percentage but I get why they rested Max. The pressure was released in the last 10 minutes though which had nothing to do with Max going off. Happy with the win of course, disappointed we didn't roll them by 10+ goals after being 44 points up but a win is a win. The disposal in the first half though, my god. So many poor turnovers and we reverted back to the long down the line kicks and with little forward pressure. Picked up after half time though which is a positive.

Must hit the ground running, if the young Tiger cubs think they're in with a chance and with the crowd behind them they will run on enthusiasm. Get on top early and then put the foot down in the 2nd half.
