I think PJ's potential is a bit of an unknown quantity. Has never really impressed me that much for Sandy and beyond what ive seen he is supposed to be terrible above the shoulders...meaning that as a pinch hitter in the square Jamar would have it all over him. Im certainly in agreement that we should give him more time but Im not going to rate him, or expect big things from him, until he gets more results. One swallow does not make a summer.

Cant agree with any negativity on Bate, from what Ive seen he works hard even if his kicking is a strange style its long and typically gets to the mark. Ive never gone away from a game thinking he was anywhere near worst on ground. Christ if you thought he was fumbling on Friday he wasnt alone. Time is all he requires.

Get him back in. He is an influential player that can lift the team. He may have only stopped eating pies last week (to steal a mates phrase) but he is still a hard and tested champion.....who knocks the cr@p out of people

IMO Carlton play too much absolute tripe football to finish that high. They have too many poor players that make up their 22 and depth to be realistically considered top 8. Potentially they could put it together, realistically I think this is overestimating them.

Im not going to buy that it's an Elitist idea to claim you cant be a supporter unless your a member. Elitism implies IMHO some form of restricted barrier to entry, such as the MCC. I do not think coughing up a couple of hundred dollars is a restricted barrier to entry (although to some people its a lot of money). I also hope that members DO ALWAYS give non-members who sound off about the club a bit of a ribbing, as this can only help acheive greater membership numbers. As much as I dont necessarily want to align myself with some of the more fanatical posters here, IMHO if your going to talk about your club and argue about your club then you should be a member.

Im not going to enter the captaincy debate....again. But CB can not kick in any kind of pressure situation or in play in general. From a set shot he is ok, on the run he is plain terrible. He is invaluable to the team and amongst our best, but he can not kick.

Am i wrong in remembering Rivers getting cut open by Nick Reiwolt the last few times? Maybe im mistaken, but i seem to rmember him getting a hiding. Who would he most likely line up on if Nick R didnt play?

I think you're on the money Rusty_K, these boys need to be a bit more sensible. Its almost some bizarre form of showing off how blatant some of them (obviously!) are. If one chooses to partake in substance use they should be discrete enough about it not to get caught, the rest of the population manage it without too much difficulty.... Take away the fact that I would rather all MFC players not do it (which is quite obviously their decision not mine), the least i can hope for is that this public airing of dirty laundry makes our guys pull their heads in a bit.....boys will be boys after all.
