  1. http://www.footballnation.com.au/latest-af...r-williamstown/ He did a great job this year and i think they'll miss him.
  2. Cam Schwab wrote this on twitter this morning: CamSchwab Winning teams need approx 12 quality players who can run through the midfield. Cats had 14/15 on Sat. What will ours look like in 2012? Sounds to me like were taking Scully and Trengove
  3. Wow! Just read the fantastic news. I'll sleep easier at night now.
  4. The days of 4 year contracts are gone. He deserves 3 for his form and his leadership but no club would offer him 4 years.
  5. There it is. The ox has confidence so i guess we can relax a bit. who messaged in?
  6. Your the man DD. I'd ring but i have a bad voice for radio. I thought i read an article a week ago that said he had signed on for 3 more years but no news on the MFC page has got me worried. I think it was in the Australian.
  7. I just sat through 30min of mind numbing grand final chatter for that garbage?
  8. Major announcement on sen the run home at 5pm. Probably some crap about Fev but I'm hoping Ox has some news about Flash. I'll be keeping my radio on in hope anyway.
  9. http://news.realfooty.com.au/breaking-news...90924-g4ma.html This is a bit of good news amongst the bad. Now we just need Davey to put pen to paper.
  10. Holy [censored]! I just got back from Sydney today and this is the first footy news i hear? What the hell is going on? Very Disappointed but I think we have to hand it to dafatcat at the start of this thread he stuck by his guns even though he was copping a heap of [censored]. Good work mate. I just hope pick 11 develops quickly.
  11. Got a bit on Bernie Vince at $41 and a multi for simon black in the top five and geelong to win by uner 39points. I think that was $33. Good luck to all.
  12. Yeah i'm a little worried about the short term contracts for all our young players. I guess it gets them passed the gold coast period though which is the major concern at the moment. Agents wouldn't want their young players signing long term contracts before they've reached their full potential though. They need to be paid what they're worth and Maric will be worth alot more in 2 years i hope. I dont think we have to be to concerned with a mass exodus in a few years time. History shows that players are usually reluctant to leave the club they were drafted to.
  13. It was mentioned this morning on SEN's 'Hungry For Sport' that Bailey is interested in trading for Shaun Burgoyne. Apparently he isn't well liked at Port and has found himself on the outer of the playing group. No doubt he's a gun player but do we want someone who is disruptive around our young group? Having said that though, if he managed to slip through to the preseason draft as Nick Stevens did after Port wouldn't trade him to Collingwood I would gladly take him. What are your thoughts?

  15. Saw a bunch of the injured players at the precinct hotel on saturday night. None of them were drinking much and Matt Bate was being snubbed by the rest of the boys cause he'd brought his girlfriend along. I think from memory it was Warnock, Newton, Bate, Bell and Petterd but the memory is a bit blurry.
  16. Trengrove for Rising Star in 2010. Looks to have the goods against the men in the sanfl. Might see what price they'll offer me later today.
  17. Mortons flu like symptoms may keep a few of those guys out next week. They cant risk a win with Freeo the week after.
  18. Freezing my [censored] off at the Queens Birthday clash and wishing i hadn't bothered turning up by the 20min mark of the game.
  19. According to this article on the dee's website http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...81/default.aspx there are new guidelines that let a player be elevated without the need for a long terms injury listed player.
  20. Beamer for sure. Loves the club and shows his passion, great role model for kids, is still improving and is the only player on the ground that can stand up in a tackle (which is probably not a prerequisite but is great to see).
  21. Geelong are at another level. This ones going to be messy. Lets hope we can kick 50 points
  22. Would love to see us belt Carlton with Chris Johnson in the team. As i recall he didn't play in our last clash and I was looking forward to seeing Sylvia and Moloney getting stuck into him. Also be good to show Warnock and Judd who the real team on the rise is.
  23. Looks like Cox is going to miss again and Kerr is going to miss a second game with general soreness. The tanking may have begun. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...65/default.aspx
