  1. We should all being doing this every week...
  2. Yeah, Rioli definitely went to Scotch. And you're right Enforcer, usually the private schools give these up and coming talents scholarships to play for them. That was certainly the case with Rioli.
  3. Yep it is. I've just come online to waste an hour before it comes on.
  4. Rawlings is a hopeless coach. I saw him coach the VFL a few weeks back and he doesn't seem to have a clue. Time will tell, I guess.
  5. I'd exchange Jones for Macca in the middle then and have PJ, Maric, Bennell and Newton on the bench.
  6. He was in my house too. Brett Deledio was also in my class in year 12. Both reasonable players. Private vs. Public school is a poinltess debate, as it's by no means a measure of how good a player is.
  7. Except I'd never have Maxwell has my captain. He might do the team things occasionally, but you also need someone who can turn a game, when you're down and out. Maxwell couldn't do that. Brock might be able to do that. As I've said all along, Brock will come into his own, if he has some quick players around him to hand off too (ie Davey, Morton and maybe Scully). He must improve his disposal though, otherwise he's got the potential to kill us with turnovers.
  8. Mine too. I have no doubt Brock has leadership capabilities, but his pace and disposal worry me.
  9. Hmm, a bit like the line in the sand declared by Hawthorn against the Dons a few seasons back? I wouldn't be totally against it, although the tribunral history is an interesting point.
  10. Something that I've noticed, particularly over the last few weeks is how Brock seems to be involved with everything promoting MFC. The main one I'm thinking of is Macca and Brock in the Members email this week (standing side by side). Could it be that the club has decided on its next captain? It's almost a forgone conclusion that this will be Macca's last season, so perhaps the club are taking the early steps in this process? What does everyone else think?
  11. Congrats, Alex. Go Casey, for tomorrow!
  12. It's a bit like that isn't it. I'm not too far behind you, Doggo. Monday can't come quick enough!
  13. Nah, Robbo's a pretty boy. It'll be the tough nuts in the centre. The likes of McLean, Moloney, Jones (providing he plays) etc. That said, it'll probably happen at least once in the forwardline, so maybe Robbo might have too? PJ? Pity there's no Neita anymore, he'd clear em up.
  14. Where on the Herald Sun website do we go to give this [censored] [censored]?
  15. Yes, I've been thanking Jimmy and Schwabby heaps, but Chris deserves equal praise too. This is the most excited I've been about our list and football department in my lifetime. I actually believe that we can give the premiership title a real crack (injury and player management permitting) with our young developing list. There's probably only two questions marks I have about the current list and that is another KP forward and elite midfielder. Furthermore, I also have full confidence in the current board and FD to get us out of financial ruin and put us up with the other powerhouses in the AFL. Go you Demons!!!
  16. Nope, it isn't. There were whispers about trying to make it listed during last year, but I don't think it went through. We would have heard about it otherwise.
  17. I've been to the snow twice. Once it was a Year 9 camp for school and another time when our family went for a day trip and MFC were certainly not playing that day. I strongly dislike 4WDs and agree with the ban or at least a special permit law. They're wanky pieces of [censored] that the majority of the population don't need. And from my recollection it was Collingwood and Eddie that started the snow season rubbish on The Footy Show, around the 2004 season. The fact that opposition supporters are beginning to take notice of us and telling us to merge tells me one of two things. 1) either they haven't a clue about football and the MFC in general and/or 2) are jealous and becoming worried about our developing, youthful list and golden board (Jimmy and Schwab included). Afterall, our club is the one making all the business moves as of late. They're coming out of everywhere. Go you Demons!!!
  18. Agreed. Great to see Gazza on board! I'm almost certain with his connections to Jimmy that he has a say behind-the-scenes at MFC, but it's good to see him taking up a position in plain sight and showing the footballing world his true colours.
  19. I'd be happy if he got between 10 and 15 touches. Any more and we're probably expecting too much of him.
  20. Ah yeah, cool. My mate's becoming quite the DJ, still hasn't played a venue yet, but will soon. As will my band, we're a bit slow on the uptake. My mates are big on the hardcore electro scene at the moment, not a big fan myself. Do you like MSTRKRFT's stuff? By the sounds of it, I reckon you would. Particularly, their first album. And Van She Tech maybe too? Their remix of Gravity's Rainbow by Klaxons is just the bomb. Old, but awesome.
  21. Well, to be honest, I think the first 5 to 10 minutes of a match we struggle with too. The amount of times this year that a goal has been kicked quickly against us would be quite high. That said, as the season has progressed we've improved in this area. Certainly, the general pattern earlier in the year was to conceed the first goal or two and then work ourselves back into the contest and be close by quarter time.
  22. No I was guessing. I hadn't seen the extended teams yet. But it still kind of applies to the final team.
