  1. St Kilda are in trouble. We smashed them in all the key stats today. They were pretty well drilled and we made far too many clangers. Almost 50, by the way. I'm not up with the records, but can anyone tell me if that's some kind of record? We halve our clangers and we win. As simple as that.
  2. The increase in errors across the last two weeks is particularly worrying.
  3. And those rubbishing Toumpas are blinded by their bias. Two goals, 26 touches and 8 tackles. That's a gun game. Okay, so he may have been at fault for the last goal, but I reckon the whole team (especially the leaders) have to cop the blame for that.
  4. We weren't even good for a whole quarter. Every couple of minutes we would make an horrendous error and just gift them goals.
  5. Don't let their half reasonable stats trick you. Stretch and ANB aren't ready yet. They'll only keep playing if injuries persist.
  6. Well, we'll get St Kilda at the G, Carlton and possibly Brisbane or another one we don't expect. Oh yeah. Essendon. That said, I'm finding the last two weeks very puzzling. They have been so error riddled. We were more efficient earlier in the season. I wonder if they are tiring, but you know what, they don't bloody deserve excise after excuse.
  7. So I've been predicting 6-8 wins for most of the year. I think it'll be 6.
  8. We also dominated the key stats and still never really looked like it. We need more midfield class. I'll say it again. We need more midfield class.
  9. Could anyone else see Stevens getting free out the back of that centre stoppage well before it happened? Lack of leadership. Someone should have plonked themselves on that side of the contest. Woeful performance. Another game at that hole of a ground that we never looked like winning.
  10. Was beaten quite a bit early, but he's come back strongly. Still only depth though.
  11. Disagree. I think he's made some good decisions under pressure today.
  12. Cross has been fine. The bloke who's been hopeless is Jeremy Howe. Back to his lazy best.
  13. Disgraceful first half. We've had intensity for about 10 mins.
  14. That is all he can do. He's not even that elite. Jones goes, Watts clearly stays and McKenzie goes.
  15. Congrats, Lynden. Hopefully you put in a better performance this week. We're gonna need it without Garland. But labelling him a champion is laughable and really shows you up, Olisik.
  16. I actually think we were backing ourselves to win it irrespective of Oxley. Our coaches thought, as I did, that we were winning all the key stats, it was just a matter of making sure we limited Cloke's output. So we put Cross back in front of him. Unfortunately, Gawn ran out of puff in the last and here the midfield ascendancy was lost. Still, had Howe goaled early in the last, it would only have been a two goal game. Had we not made so many crucial errors throughout the match, I think we would have won the game and we wouldn't even be talking about Oxley's intercept marks. I'm on the coaching panel's side with this one.
  17. It's Neal-Bullen. 'Neal' is not a middle name. As a person with a double-barrelled surname, that stuff is important. I like the rest of the post though.
  18. I want both too. I don't think it's too greedy at all. Aish is struggling to cement his place at Brisbane. He shouldn't be our first target. We need to go hard for A graders/cusp of A grade at the end of this year. Prestia and Coniglio are the go for mine too. As you note, it's all about whether we have enough to get them both.
  19. I generally agree with the sentiment here, mate. It all depends on whether another club is interested in Col and what we might get in return. If we could get a B+/A grade mid for him, he'd be expendable. Otherwise, keep him. His versatility has always been his best drawcard. Have always loved Col though.
  20. Grinter was a thug and so was Pickett.
  21. There's about four or five players at Essendon I would go after (if it weren't for ASADA/WADA). Carlisle would be one of them. I can't understand them wanting to let him go. Unless it's more about him wanting out.
