  1. Lol. He'll probably get to Hawthorn too. If so, this league is a joke and fast becoming the EPL.
  2. That's the thing though. I'll go berserk if they get one.
  3. I'd do a third rounder probably. Wouldn't go any lower.
  4. He rested forward a couple of times this year, when he did get on the park. Wouldn't be the worst choice. Just don't give up a lot for him.
  5. I'd enquire about Zac Smith. Though he's 25. I wouldn't give up anything more than a second or third rounder though.
  6. Am I the only one that wants us to just move him on? Low ball him. He has far greater value to us on the trade table than on the field. His trade could help transform our midfield.
  7. So... Hamish Harltett. I wouldn't say no, but surely we need a bit more leg speed. I guess it'd depend on what we'd give up for him. What do the rest of you think?
  8. That's not a fair discussion, dazzle. He has pulled his finger out, he just has a ceiling that's all. I'm prepared to keep supporting him as a player if he wears the red and blue, but if we could get Prestia for him, I'd be quite happy to see us facilitate a trade.
  9. Gee, Jack Watts threads escalate to personal attacks quickly.
  10. To lay blame at the feet of just Jack isn't fair then. What about the weeks where Jones and Vince did bugger all? Some Demonlanders even went as far as giving those two a pass because they had a bout of the flu, but Jack doesn't get this same concession? I don't think any of them should have been excused for their performances. I just think it's unfair to question Jack's effort and put him up as a candidate for trade when those two and others, failed as well.
  11. Don't really care how courageous someone is if they turn it over or put team mates under pressure every time they get it.
  12. I know this is getting repetitive, but I'll back the club in here. If they feel they need an outside player with extremely good skills, who doesn't like a lot of physical contact and that the player in question can service the game style we're looking to foster, then great. Happy to support them on that decision. If they think it's best for both parties (and this could be argued) that Jack moves on, then I'd back that decision too. I'm almost certain they won't simply trade him for a second rounder. He'd be packaged in with a pick or another player to get something sizeable in return and this, I'd be happy with. Jack seems like a nice kid, I've backed him for many years, thought he brought value to the team and he still does, but as C&B inferred, the 'new Melbourne' is tough, uncompromising and hates losing. Think Hogan and Viney. Jack is, fairly or unfairly, part of the 'old Melbourne'.
  13. Reckon we're looking at a GWS player, not a Swan.
  14. Actually, his manager said he'd honour his contract and they've never lied before...
  15. Or Prestia for our first rounder. Bennell should come cheaper given the baggage and the fact they have stated they want him gone. Otherwise, yeah. Howe and our second rounder.
  16. Haha, fair enough. I just wouldn't play around with him. I wouldn't try to low ball him, I'd just offer him the bigger deal. Each to their own, I guess.
  17. I am too, unless the club has a few tricks up its sleeve for the trade/FA period.
  18. Haha, yeah, I'd be very happy with Vince and Salem off half back, with Dunn in there as well. Getting Bennell and Prestia would allow us to release Bernie to play off half back though, which would be dangerous for opposition teams. I'd give Bernie plenty of time in the middle as well though. I'll trust them here as well, mate. I have a feeling our FD'll work some magic this off season (and they need to).
