Oh, don't get me wrong. Some players can push through the rubbish. Jones is a good example, but there's no doubt we shot Toumpas' confidence and he mever recovered. Did he heap too much pressure on himself? Sounds like it.

You weren't at those first three games of 2013 obviously. They were confidence holocausts for inexperienced players and we threw them to the wolves.

Yep. I distinctly remember thinking Neeld is killing this young bloke's confidence. He clearly isn't up to it yet, but despite this though, we kept playing him. Painful. And given Neeld's autocratic style, he probably shat all over Toumpas for every error early on.

St Kilda's brand doesn't work away from Etihad against half decent opposition. It's high pressure, high intensity, but it's the sort of brand that has very little to it and won't stand up in finals either. They don't have enough contested ball beasts in the middle.

I think we lack a depth of competent, consistent small forwards. Garlett, Kent and Kennedy have all been inconsistent at various stages of this year. Even if they all come good, someone like Smith would small forward depth and an ability to play midfield.

Isn't Jeremy Cameron a lazy player. Bit full of himself I think. He goes to ground too easily and consistently takes the easy option.

I'd offer a 4 year deal to Devon Smith on average coin and see what he says. I know he's contracted, but he could be that extra dangerous forward, run through the middle and has decent toe. He seems to have been off this year and in and out of the GWS side. He could really add a bit of extra class and x factor next year. Thoughts?

I'd keep him running off half back. His defensive capabilities are too good to be under utilised on the wing. I want my boy Hunt running off half back.
