Simon Goodwin extends contract to end of 2026
There's always one. Well done, Cranks. 12 months is a long time in footy. So is 36 months, and over the last 36 months, we've finished top 4 three times. There are always those that need something to complain about.

I'd rather us go Rozee or Butters, but I understand we're interested. Depends what we give up.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Clearly being pushed by him. On the plus side, it frees up some cap space to go after someone like Naughton who we were allegedly after last year. We'll have the picks to satisfy as well...

Any chance we could get Rozee now? Certainly taken his game to a new level this year. Then there was that peanut Cornes saying if Hinkley hadn't signed his last contract, Butters was on his way to us. Would love either/both of them. As for Georgiades, I'm not the biggest fan, but acknowledge our club seems to have rated him since his draft year.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
Agreed, I don't particularly rate Saad, let's go with Nick Daicos instead. Imagine not tracking him from every kick out and allowing him to handball receive. He'd cut you apart and does. Again, Rivers plays a different role, but strange. Having said all that, I do think the Oliver tag makes sense.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
But surely you'd make sure someone tracks Rivers. It'd be like allowing Saad to run free, except Rivers is far more damaging because he intercept marks.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
Sure, but he didn't even seem to have a 1v1 let alone a tag in the first 3 quarters. Odd.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
So it took them three quarters to make the move? Pretty poor coaching if that's the case.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
And yet he let Rivers run around by himself...? Strange comments from Mitchell given what he allowed Riv to do.

PODCAST: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Andy, I just heard you say that we haven't put four quarters together in 2023, where in 2021 we did. I'd love to know which game we played four quarters in. We didn't even manage 3 great quarters in the GF. Maybe the prelim against Geelong and the Brisbane QF. Prior to finals though, I don't recall us putting together 4 quarters.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Exactly, @Nascent. I hope we can land a key forward in the right age bracket 22-25 age range.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Sydney
It's about synergy and giving the forwards at least one game to understand whether they'll work together and how. There's every chance we play JVR, Melksham and Fritta in the same forwardline, with either Smith or TMac. Either alternative, they've never played together as a group before. Sydney in a tough game away from home, where they've got their backs up, is a very good dress rehearsal for the finals series.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
What are our list needs / holes right now?

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I reckon the draft pool could be moot for us and we'll try and trade for experienced needs in the right age bracket.
