  1. Richmond had the same stat in their premiership years, I believe (and stand to be corrected)? Gee, he reminds me of Harley Bennell, but looks like he plays more back behind the ball.
  2. Does anyone know if Young manages any of our guys?
  3. It depends. I'm a hyphen and my wife wanted to take my name, so our kid is a hyphen. My sister I think wants to keep her name, so I'd say patriachy will win over with her kids and they'll take her fiance's name. It is good having your name in your kids name though.
  4. You mean like pick 17 or something like that?
  5. Born in 2003. Jeepers creepers. Now AF feels old on a Saturday morning.
  6. GWS and Essendon are my big concerns next year and what will Richmond deliver?
  7. My sister and I were at the Cattery that day. I don't know. We're a different team and club than we were then, but that was a deeply embarrassing day and those who were responsible, be it players or administrators, should forever hang their heads in shame. I don't want to rattle off a cliche, but you had to be there to really feel this pain. We couldn't turn off the TV or walk out of the room. We stayed until the very end. It was inexcusable.
  8. Did Richmond have depth in 2017? I don't think so. System and midfields win flags in the modern era. If Voss can bring a defensive system that they all buy into and their stars take the next step, they'll do alright.
  9. Bloody brilliant. Unless I missed it though, Petracca's spinning clearance away from Libba to Brown for a goal in GF had to be a top 10 moment.
  10. I was thinking they might rise but wtf is that tweet or post? Be professional FFS and let your good work do the talking.
  11. I'd be targeting a pick higher than 27. I'd love to get into the top 10, but as you write, no club would consider it, unless Belly has another master stroke...
  12. I think Mitchell sees him as the next captain, so doubt he'll let him go. I like the idea of a reverse Frawley though haha.
  13. No. But then I wanted to give Oliver a ten year deal last year too, so maybe I'm more reckless (or is that aggressive?) with my list management decisions.
  14. I just realised I didn't include Sparrow and JJ in those 9, so there's 11 young guys under 22. The only thing the list doesn't have at the moment is 2 or 3 200+ gamers. I wouldn't be against targeting one or two of the Hawk veterans. We'll see...
  15. Potentially not, but I'd be looking at the Bulldogs and Collingwood who need picks and trying to flip in 2nd and 3rd picks into a late first rounder/early second rounder.
  16. Interesting. If we take him at face value, are we targeting a specific player or do we have a few that we'd be interested in? Maybe we don't think the guy we really want will get to 17, but we'll still get a good enough player in that range? My feeling is we're going to try and take two first rounders in this year, so we keep building that second wave and continually bring in elite talent. By now we know Taylor rarely misses, so having the opportunity to basically go Petty, Spargo, Jackson, Pickett, Rivers, Bowey, Laurie and two more is 9 players. You've then got significant elite talent under 22 going into 2022. This then complements the elite older talent, who themselves, with the exception of Max, May and I'd argue Brown, are all in their sweet spot for the best footy of their lives. I'm loving this list build. Cerra would have been amazing, but I reckon we'll target someone again like that next year or the year after. The guys that have a year to go on their contracts are going to be tougher to massage in terms of spreading their salaries across multiple years due to their ages, but hopefully playing in a premiership and their leaders taking less money, might mean they do too.
  17. Great thinking. Then flip picks 17 & 23 for a top 10 pick? ;)
  18. Carlton can still say they've won the most flags. Hope they never win another one again.
  19. I think it has become strategy since the 2019 off season and since it reaped such rewards in 2019 and 2020, it seemed likely we'd try it again this year.
  20. And Geelong were the best team in 2008 as well.
  21. I wouldn't mind an Oliver back up in Tom Mitchell. 😉
  22. Good lad. So desperate not to include Dunstan that he forget the followers. Not to worry. Only a couple of AAs there.
  23. The point is we get a first rounder this year, so continue to build our list. A year in our system for a young, hopefully elite draftee. It's a no brainer. As for giving Taylor the best possible picks, that's what we're doing. 17 is infinitely better than a pick in the mid 30s...
