Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hogan would have to shed Kilo's to do a Jack Riewoldt, and jack was already more nimble than Jesse is.

Someone like a Lachie Neale. We need some like this for the 'G'. We have to trade for it, or draft it. but we need it.

Josh Kelly may be too expensive, in my imagination.??? radar. But maybe Whitfield may not be as expensive? sMay I reckon is a must this year, as OMc has regressed since lever got injured,,, so OMc I think, needs more time to mature... Re Finals. .

Like the telemetry in F1... they could reset the engine via WiFi, if they wanted to... Who's to say they don't interfere with the No 2 drivers car, late in the race ? I don't like all the potential for interference over the airwaves, and via radio 'code', alerting the No2 driver to start to hold other drivers up. Lets hope all Umpire communication goes direct to air.

Not with them in the finals, he shouldn't. He's still part of the club, until the contract is up end of season. Unfair to use it, to distract them.

I'm only an amateur killer, so lets meet we can 'kill bill' together then. I don't mind, if you don't. ... a good mate was returned SAS, sniper, god rest his soul... because he couldn't. its all a mess.

I mean accidents happen, and sometimes out of our own will or control... auto response can happen under sever pressure. And we know that gaff is under severe pressure. No I don't like defence forces killing people, of any so-called side... and I don't like whats is going on with the Palestinians. 2 wrongs do not add up to, "they deserved it". It takes 2 to tango (fight). And both are wrong; unless one is first attacked and then defends,,, without attacking back. Gaffs hit was accidental. It happened, he didn't mean it. 'fight and flight' mode happens, under great stress... just as stress also brings on depression, often.

How can people want to be the hanging judge on hits in an aggressive physical contact game and at the same time as a nation we condone mentally training our young men to be paid Killers for the armed forces or lately our police forces.? And then these armed forces folk when they get home are de-arranged ticking time-bombs, in the right circumstances. We talk about terrorists coming back here as dangerous, yet we train our own of a similar ability. .... having our cake, and eating it as well. some people will always find ways to barrack for their own views... no matter what. without need of question, or a mirror.

IMO Gaff should miss the same amount of time lost by young Brayshaw, plus some, for the undisciplined and unwarranted action. What if Miller killed Lonergan ? accidents do happen, unintentionally ? A kid throws a rope over a branch on a tree, inside the front yard... he tries to climb the rope, the branch snaps and falls, hitting a pedestrian on the footpath, killing them ? .

We wouldn't ask Jones to leave. Fd. GCS would, and the AFL could with a proposal. Which would also involve the Swans. Only after any interest was shown by Jonesy himself,,, would Melbournefc be at the end of any talks. Again it does not start with this footy club,,, but with the AFL and the GCSuns... Dewy may have totally different ideas. So your comments above are totally irrelevant to this footy club. Its all about the AFL, and their biggest job in footy. And it would be a Huge feather in the footy Beanie of Nathan Jones,,, to be considered for such an important AFL job. .

You really don't get it, because you don't care for the AFL all that much. your just Melbourne & that's all. Not everyone is limited to just Melbourne SWYL. Someone who cares about the AFL game, and its development.. Someone with a generous spirit and the skills to achieve the goals, to do the job right. I think Jones'y is like this, as a person. .

Reasons I've stated... and it would lengthen his playing career... and he can contribute to an important AFL cause, when he will have been payed out, by us. Come this time next year, Jones'y will be coming off contract. He will be finished as captain, and the club has a one year policy after 30yrs of age I believe. He will be 31Yrs +... end of 2019. and will only get one more year. We have other young leaders now, who are making strides, and Viney or TMc will take the sole mantle. The end of 2019 will see the end of Vince, Lewis, And closely following will be Nathan. The other side of the coin is; there is a Key position defender going into the market this end of season... and we might be looking down the barrel IF Lever fails in his recovery from the 2nd Knee reconstruction, on the same knee. We don't have much to bid with for May this year. But we need him desperately, IMO. The gap between OMc,,,, and Petty and Dec; is much too big to wait on they're development, and we should not rely on Frost and OMc. If all we have is Frost and OMc next year... TMc will have to play back often next year, and in finals. Our whole club redevelopment could blow up in our face, if we don't cover off Lever. This is what I'm talking about. It really is that big a deal.

It cannot do any damage to this club, as it would be up to Jones'y himself and his family, to choose. he is contracted till next year so it would be his decision alone, other than the Suns, and the AFL. 'The fool', is you F'd... ever since you were insisting the club should be recruiting Toumpas over Wines or Grundy, back in that draft year. The best skilled playing in the draft apparently, hey Furious. Yeah well. That one worked a treat. Did you whisper into Toddy's ear that day. . Stick to your strong suit F'd, and go hum some more. .

I used to be the same as that with the 'one club thing', etc. But I'm thinking of Jonesy and his tenure within the AFL, as well as this Club, and how it can cover off Lever. And do all it can to realise its dream and to finally achieve it's aim. Jones'y could help the club do just this. By aiding May to come here. And in the process, help the game itself in a big way.

I understand all that, but he has a max of 2 years with us, before he's gets overtaken from within. There is every chance that Jones'y will lose the captaincy at the Demons within the next 12 months. That won't be the case at the Suns. As his leadership alone will dictate he plays on there to aid in their recovery. They and the AFL would pay him overs to have a player of his skill-sets and experience, to help lead the Sun's out of the shadows. I cannot think of any other leader within the AFL that has his bulk of experiences,,, that makes them a better choice to do that job. He is far and away the most suited for the role. Loyalty of course... but how will it be when we have to drop him from our finals bound sides next year, or the season after. How will that be for loyalty ? And after that, retirement beckons. A sudden fall from grace.

There is no shafting SWYL, it would be by mutual decisions. its a good fit all round. GC die... LoL. The hatred here, to the competition, and to posters with creative ideas is astounding. No wonder our club has struggled for so long, without any results. The conservative dark side is strong around these parts young Darth.

Brendan McCartney & Cooney/Bulldogs situation
The culture angle meets a lot of resistance from within;,,, against any change from outsiders and newbies. That is the difficulty at Melbourne, when the soft resets. McCartney would have challenged this resistance, and he did trade out some old talented players to help shift the resistance,,, no doubt. Naturally there would be some disharmony, in doing this resetting of culture, and values. Players don't like being made to work harder than they've been used to, and to be more professional, and more dedicated. No doubt Macca helped to setup the premiership which Bevo made, with the Doggies.

Should have been North, your right, but isn't... they will surely end up in Tassie. And the choice isn't mine, it would obviously be the Suns, Nathan and families, the AFL's,,, & then Mfc's. The Upside for Mfc, is we get a Key defender in his prime, to Aid us out our self-imposed 50 Yr hell-hole. You want to be ruthless or not SWYL, or is that pretence.

Hodge has, Mitchell did, and there will be more to do it. Nathan will get more years in the game doing something really important for our game. I'm sure his family would cope really well. with winters up there. As would Nathan, i'm sure, and I think being close to the surf would help Nathans aging body recover from any soreness as he ages further. Extending his career. Don't let your hostility get in the way of your thinking dd36. And the loyal servant would being serving the game he loves. He has 2 years left within our team, at lesser money. Before its all over. He will get an extra year or two up in QLD in the warm climes, on big money. .

No, sorry... I don't watch other clubs these days, as I struggle to even watch our games in a sitting. I watched the Storm Friday night. Watched us Satdy night. I don't like the congestion and the commentary. Most of the presentation in the box. The Ex players are killing the TV Product. Its too in your face,,, and too Figjam on the commentary bench. .
