  1. Has anyone seen Deryn, since the Prelim Final over in Perth ? Parliament is starting to become concerned.
  2. agh, Preuss.. I missed the ss.
  3. I wonder if the keys atmo, are both Neale & Lobb,,, choosing and doing their deals. I think when they are done, the sooner the better, and Freo can move on. In the draft I think we need both mid, tall forward and speed ??? So inside mid... one who can go straight away. with run/carry attributes. Smith/Rankine ?? Run and carry... with some line break speed. Rankine/Lukosius ?? And key tall forward... one to develop behind deWeide. Kings ? or a later pick as a development project. I have an open mind which way we go in the draft. I'd like to see 3 or 4 kids come in,,, as well as free-agents, and other mature players. I am OK... with a few senior changes.
  4. Actually F-5, its a combination of both... but the off-field structure that needs to be fixed first of all. Culture starts and ends, at the heads. And many good, and very nice people, have rotted away in the leaders chairs at Melbourne... unknowing why the club struggles so much, even with player talent. .
  5. Are Freo waiting on Lobb to land first &/or are they pressing us, for Preust ? I want to go to the early draft for a player, with one of our 1st picks.
  6. 'Clarko' is playing a different game style to ours, so personnel change.
  7. Yes, thats true... they '(gcs's) need maturity. Tyson would probably have a longer career at GCSuns, than he would get at the Bummers.
  8. Contract Status: UFA at the end of 2019 https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-essendon-bombers--travis-colyer
  9. Not the way to build the list Jaded, we have to continually try to better what we have. move on, and upward.
  10. We'd better arrange a Neurologist to check him, before we hire him. I do not trust AFL clubs, when dealing with players.
  11. Not good news IMO... North still have plenty of cap space to spend now. and next year. I was hoping they would cough up a little too much.
  12. Being in contests against one another, IS cavemen ideals. It is combative,,, to win. Wanting to beat your opponent is all about caveman lust. No amount of politically correct rhetoric, will ever cover the fact. Cavemen can be nice you know,,, they did have clans with family & freinds. They were not roaming independently alone in the wild. .
  13. I didn't think they won anything last year... I think they went backwards, in the longer list view. Sometimes, I am as well 'TSD'. He seems moody. IMO, it holds him back.
  14. Its actually a bonus he is. As he's in his prime, and it gives us time to develop our next generation young defenders properly.
  15. ... touted ??? by who, 'TSD' ? by you? I thought Port were silly with they're trading, bringing in soft players. The only one I considered was Tommy Rockliff, as another inside type who could add to our rotation, mid and forward. Port I thought were ordinary recruiting. I cannot remember what the Bummers did recruiting... except for Stringer. Speed on its own does not make things good... the player has to have 'go' in them. see Garlett.
  16. No, it isn't... it is all about walking taller as Melbourne. collectively. Its about building the club. your thinking purely like an mcc thinker. Walking taller is all about mental attitude, and becoming winners. as a CLUB. The building the team is the structure that aids the Club to win. It is how we present as a club that gains respect on and off the field. We as a Club... have been an impotent-club for too many decades since the 60's, to want to remember... .
  17. They will be at least 2Yrs, before they are September ready.
  18. its actually much more than about players. Its about showing all inside the Dees, and also outside this club, that the NEW Mfc actually has grown some [censored]. And WILL NOT be pushed about any longer
  19. He's got the main trick. Run & carry with speed, thru traffic... transition. It's a plus, on what we have. Remember, if we ended up with a U18 small player... he will take some time. Colyer allows us the time to develop the young player.
  20. I think he Neale trade is holding things up. So its Freo holding the Damn wall up. GCSuns don't have more time to waste. A clean-out and onto fresh challenges is the ONLY way forward, for them... they do Not want to stretch out the pain of the cleanup. It makes the job bigger For Dewy.
  21. I agree... we can take little steps, that help as we move along the pathway. Too many right off the little steps, in favour of giant strides, or they want the status quo to remain... but it can't, because AVB is going to be closer to family in need. every-time we take another who is full of go we move further away from those players and years where 'not-going' was a feature of US. Zac Jones, good... bring him in, and May as well... and we can work on the skilled players at the same time thru KK and others. But the main ingredient is... "GO"
  22. I think May's value, at 28Yrs age, is around P10 - 13... add KK onto this and IMO, P6 comes close. But we could do the KK deal separately to Mays. I want the May deal done this year... even if Jesse stays, for 2019. who Knows, what 2019 brings... what if TMc got hurt next year? Either way we need to draft a key tall forward this year, to start to develop understudy I want May, some speed in, some class in, and some kids.
  23. I liked Colyer in his draft year, as much as $cullee. His run-dash through the middle, with his elusiveness, is beneficial... and I think he would aid Spargo as well, and deWeide. We can work on his delivery.
