No, sorry... I don't watch other clubs these days, as I struggle to even watch our games in a sitting. I watched the Storm Friday night. Watched us Satdy night. I don't like the congestion and the commentary. Most of the presentation in the box. The Ex players are killing the TV Product. Its too in your face,,, and too Figjam on the commentary bench. .

    * To help the AFL and Footy,,, in the biggest Job within the AFL, at this time. * For a huge payday for his family * To get the chance to finally share AFL games with his young Bro. * To get to surf more readily in warmer climate for a few years whilst he does some really important work for the game, and the pleasure he will receive with the growth up there. * He gets to really set his family up with the remuneration AFL guaranteed, with him leading that club back up. * To stamp his imprint into the culture of the new and struggling club. * And to get the forever gratitude from the AFL itself, for his remaining days on this planet. * Potential to enhance a possible media career, after his playing days with 2 clubs... the oldest and youngest.

The choice would be with Nathan, and his family... PD. There is none of your hate PD. you are the one holding hate in your absenteeism. And don't bother coming out of your hole to UN-ignore. It's been a pleasure not reading you til now, with you in there. Try looking in a mirror, if you think of your last statements. seeya.

Ok, you can't see it. each to their own.

Your very short sighted Mickey. NJones is perfect for the role as the reasons stated. His Discipline crucial. Dew is there now as coach. Swans disciplines. Zac Jones would be there in support of his brother,, helping nJ change the culture at ground level. While Dewy does his thing from above the List.

Nathan Jones is the best option in the League having been there done that, as a leader. He is slowing, but his leadership is perfect for that specific job... the biggest job in AFL right now. He has seen all the methods of trying to build, and rebuild... the failures and the correct path. He has the stern mind and the steely Look. His discipline is 2nd to no other. And I think he would love the Lifestyle up there for a few years. This would be a Ma$$ive Pay Day for nJones, if offered this Job. And would guarantee him a huge place in AFL history, for taking the role on. $M2.25 over 3Yrs ??? His brother would get to play alongside Nathan, and could possibly take the leadership, following. Jones'y would help us get May into the club, and possible an early 1st Rnd pick,,, with us adding others onto the deal, to help set them onto an even Keel. We are blessed for mature heads and hard honest workers on our list... this is what the Gold Coast lacks_ 'Real Honesty', and 'Real Commitment'. Lets get it done Melbourne and AFL. .

I would be looking at trading to the Gold Coast, for May. OMc and Jones. I love my club; and also I really want the 2nd Qld team to succeed. GCS For them the Key is real tough Love, with the right disciplined leaders. To set them up the right way_ Enter Nathan Jones... And Zac Jones, from the Swans. We have a few possibilities as trade options, from -> OMc, Tyson, Hunt, AVB, Wagner, Kent, Bugg, JKH, Keilty,

The other one I think might be more important than Gaff, is Steven May. We cannot be sure that Lever won't breakdown again. Like the Ox did. We need to cover off this area. I'd be spending my money this year on May. With accompanying trades.

Yep, save our pennies for real talent, and go hard.

    or Lachie Whitfield... even moreso.
  11. Look at the mess the players were are over there; so self centred. And some want to point the finger at McCartney... seriously, I know who I trust Re their judgement. And so say the former Geelong stars who wanted to go to work with Brendon. Maybe this was a club culture issue more, than anything?
  12. We could do much worse with Harry in rednblue, just like we have done with Lewy. But I doubt Harry would want a part time playing gig.
  13. 2 knee reco's already, in under 22 yrs. Lets not put all our eggs in that basket, justin case. We need another stop-gap key back. No saying what will be for Petty, Keilty, or Lever for that mater.
  14. He's a bit similar to Hunt, taking off fast and furious, and leaving their heads back in defence. composure required, bigtime.
  15. 2017 - Jack Higgins 2018 - ???? ? oh, you mean May?

I think he 'Tyson' lacks 'the vision', that Oliver has. Oliver seems to have great spacial perception... in that he knows where players are prior to bounce. a sort of photo-graphic memory of the area, immediately prior to taking the ball. You need this when driving fast in heavy traffic... to reinforce your judgement/perception. Without it, all confidence goes down the drain when under pressure. He is another who should take up juggling. And master it... and then in the dark, or dimly lit room. The idea is to be able to focus on an object whilst moving thru traffic, or chairs... to sort of, devide the spacial perception... to be able to focus on the ball, whilst another part of the brain focus's away from the ball, on other objects about. - - - - - - - - but this won't help his work-rate or running abilities.
  17. DV8 replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would think so; Tyson seems to need the game played in slow motion these days, for him to get the ball away.

Are the eagles trying to push Gaff out ? You'd think they would be wanting stars to stay on... Would have thought. .
  19. Different weather conditions effect people in different ways... I cannot stand warmth with high humidity;,, it causes me to sweat, and I get irritated with discomfort. However I can tolerate 49 degrees without freaking out. I don't like it but can manage apart from sleeping. I would take the 49 degrees dry heat,,,, over 26 degrees and high humidity any day. I'm a cold weather person, preferring temperatures around 15 - 24 degrees as my ideal. So I'm NOT any sort of reptilian in habits.
  20. why not use an emoticon, to guide the reader? Text carries no subtlety or colour for me to find. as in life... I need it spelt out... as a friend once said to me. ("do you want it spelt out") my answer was, "YES". This is why I speak plain and straight... And yes, I have a great sence of humour and fun, but subtle words leave me without meaning or understanding... Words have far too many meanings,,, and since I've learnt to not live by assumptions; I find indirect language a barrier to understanding; as words can mean so many things. .
  21. 'timbo', I know your not as simple as you try to make out when you have no argument, but trying to play dumb is not the way to be manly. We are beggars. not choosers; and we also have an obligation like other clubs, to benefit this game. Our is in the NT. others are into Tassy, some Qld. We are attempting to grow relationships with the Casey region, and the Sth East. As well as the Alice. We cannot have all the cake to ourselves, and eat it all, as well. Even if we are aligned to the mcc. We cannot be that spoiled to think only about ourselves, or themselves. We have to contribute to the games greater needs. So you know the clubs HQ should not be in Alice; or anywhere but Melbourne. Gosch's is ideal.
  22. Past seasons we've been on free to air. Alice was free2air. I don't watch foxtel, unless its put on in front of me. I will never; never pay, for TV !!! ..... if free2air dies, my record and DVD collection beckon, as will my little boat. and the garden.
  23. We've been winning at Docklands since last year I think, because of our contested ball winners, and our ability to defend and 2 way running. We've won at Alice Springs and Darwin. And the follow up game. It's not all about revenue for the club. - - - - - - - - - - But it is about exposure on TV. To attract new supporters and Kids. And it helps break public perception of a white-Australia elitist sort of club. Which we need to do. The club has drifted away, over the past 50 odd years, from being an open club, to be too heavily focused on members and elitism's. This needs to stop, because its a roadblock to many Aussies. And new Australians, and Our Original 1st people Australians. IMO as we've become an easy beat team over the decades;,,, we've gradually lost our 'Outer' Fan base of normal Aussies... and only held our rusted on members mainly in the North,,, like the Mcc. This inturn effects all the Board decisions taken over the past 50 years... as the majority of directors have Mcc approval and references from our very own high profile supporters who frequent that establishment. This inturn does not help to Re-grow our outer fan base,,, by reopening the club to allow access to the outer fans. This desired exclusivity is just that..... exclusionary.
  24. Yeah, like spending the past 50 years playing in Melbourne has proven so successful for us. We ought to protest at these away games
  25. I put it to you that TMc since mid last year has doubled his value. So I say his past years were maybe half what he's worth, in the past 12 months. Point is TMc was good enough to sign on Mid season, and not hold the club to any sort of Free-Agency ransom, which he could have done. Lets see what Brayshaw is made of. There may be less in the Mfc piggy-bank come end of season.... Angus.
