  1. Does anyone know if the Club has an area for supporters to sit together and if not where is the best area to sit for a Melbourne supporter.
  2. Someone has sucked the AFL into believing that WS was ripe for a footy takeover. Did they not think that League would not fight back. This is just a disaster waiting to happen but if it does who will suffer. They will still get their fat pay cheques but the remaining Clubs will foot the bill.
  3. Thanks. I wonder if he still as the contacts at Velocity hence his comment.
  4. Kleiman works at Velocity. His wife is PA to Adrian Anderson. Googled him.
  5. But then again (I didnt see him being interviewed)if he is as slimy as everyone here is saying, what if it is not true and he is just fanning the fires so that some dopey supporter may boo him or prod the Club into asking him to make a decision al la Geelong which didnt do them any good. I hope we suddenly dont lose our nerve and panic. The team could lose their focus and one sure way of keeping him is to keep on winning.
  6. What, am I wrong in believing that GWS have 12 million over 6 years for two players. If that is correct the AFL have dudded the rest of the Clubs.
  7. What was the back flip by Lynch this morning. Did anyone hear that.
  8. Wharf Hotel in the city. The Publican is a mad MFC supporter. I think some of the players who were injured were there when we last played at "Jihad" (I love that) Stadium.
  9. I noted in another post that it has been especially evident during the last two weeks how well these two get on. This is just what we want all the boys to have. This special relationship which will develop whilst they do the same. I think Geelong had the same thing during their years of premierships. THe team had rebuilt and grown together. It is rather special to watch the two of them together. When Liam kicked the goal in the last minutes on Saturday and went to the ground everyone went over to him concerned that he had hurt himself. To me that shows that a team that sticks together will fight together.
  10. The difference between Ablett and Tom is that Geelong demanded an answer from Ablett and Ablett and Thompson weren't talking to each other. Tom on the other hand gets on very well with Dean, the Club has not demanded an answer but publicly has been supporting him in his decision to wait. Entirely different scenarios so the link with the Ablett situation is dubious. Therefore just because he hasn't stated that he will stay doesn't mean that he will go.
  11. I thought todays article in the Age interesting about the Bulldog Callum.??? who has confirmed that he has had two interviews with GWS. That they have made an offer to him but there is a time clause on it. I am wondering if an offer has been made for the big bucks surely this must dilute what they have to give Tom. Secondly if they had made an offer to Tom why haven't they given him the same time limit. I am feeling quietly confident after today that he will remain a Demon. I sensed an urgency about him today in the first quarter. It just seemed a different attack on the ball as if to say I am better than Martin. Also after the game Tom went up to Martin to shake his hand and Martin more or less brushed him off so much that Tom took a second look at him after he had passed. I hate having to feel that I have to watch Tom's every move but like everyone else any sign will do. Also when Greeny had them in the huddle after the game the camera again focused on Tom but he quickly moved within the circle. That same uncomfortableness that I witnessed after last weeks game. With my weetbix diploma of psychology I am nearing jumping off the fence (it was getting uncomfortable anyway) and declaring he will stay. By taking a lesser amount from the Club he will also not jeopardise losing any of his mates to GWS thereby lessening any chance he will have of winning a premiership. When will this end.
  12. Big difference from earlier in the year is now they are looking to bomb to him whereas previously they would kick it anywhere else but Jack. He is now imposing himself on the game and the rest of the team is showing their confidence in him marking the ball.
  13. GOOD Supporters giving Liam standing ovation after his goal in the last quarter Seeing Skulls hi-5 other players and whispering "dont believe everything you read" BAD Mortons turning the ball over - again UGLY Kickouts - still make me nervous
  14. Melbourne get the better of their decisions. That was a first.
  15. Melbourne supporters invariably dont turn up for Etihad games. How can we encourage more supporters to come because we must be a chance against a very down Bulldogs team.
  16. OUT: Joel Mac (inj) IN: Tapscott Morton teetering on edge depending on matchups
  17. What about the team work of Jamar and Stef. I thought they worked really well today and with a bit of tweeking this could be a partnership that is really going to be the backbone of a premiership side.
  18. Heard that. There was stunned silence before Gary answered. Absolutely brainless.I couldnt believe how they walked out before the siren. The team at least played right to the very end but they couldn't even stay to support their own. Obviously thought they were a shoe in to win.
  19. Agree that Jack and Jack G are the future leaders of our Club. Sculls is too intent on his own game (which is not a bad thing) but Jack T is such an allrounder (in the mould of James Mcd) but a better player. I can't wait for the next couple of years.
  20. Now he just has to get his kicking boot back. What a great effort today and all those unnoticed efforts that resulted in a turnover. So pleased for Liam.
