I noticed the boundaries were the widest of any ground I have seen so I suspect they do bring them in.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL HANNAN
jnrmac replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd love to know what Barry's instructions were. If he was told that we needed 'outside runners who were athletes' then you could perhaps understand picks like Morton. We certainly didn't go with really instinctive footballers like Oliver, Hogan and Hannan As a body of work though he wouldn't be proud of what he did at Melbourne. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL HANNAN

Mitch is too old at 23. To be eligible to be nominated for the award, a player must be younger than 21 years of age on 1 January of the award year and have played 10 or fewer senior games before the beginning of the season. A player who is suspended during the season is not eligible to win the award but is still eligible for a nomination. -
Its actually pathetic. Someone comes on and says what he has heard. Thats why this place exists.

Stupid because Dunn hasn't but neither has Adams. Not too sharp.

Thanks for the updates KC Cheers

The problem is, all the reports are that the police were in disarray. Local command hadn't been told, equipment coundn't be located yada yada

I can tell you that St Kilda will be barracking hard given they have Hawthorn's 1st round pick ths year. Could end up being top 3. Hawthorn are in a world of pain and have no high draft picks. It's a real shame with Jaeger too looking unlikley to play much. And while I am at it, has there ever been a guy who gets 40 of the least effective touches than Tom Mitchell? Maybe James Magner (did you know he built Eastlink with his bare hands?) I'm on a roll!

The cops said they thought there was a bomb on board so they waited 90mins. Holy cow. Probably looking for an Arabic translator and a sensitivity consultant on the assumption it was you-know-who..... Hard to know what you would have done being on the plane but I am surprised no-one opened up the door and got the **** out of there.

Having been privvy to some pre-game strategies with the coach I can assure you that we know very little about what jobs players are given on any given day. We fans see one side of it and it is rarely straightforward. My suggestion is to look at: 1. The coaches votes (these are relatively immediate) 2. The votes in the Bluey - that tells you what the coaches really think as each players gets votes out of ten - some players don't even receive votes if they play poorly enough. 3. The team picked the following week.

So mark Neeld's "We got hit by the reality bus" was useful information?

Welcome to Dan Andrew's Victoria where crime is out of control. Well done Chelly. So they notify the tower and fly back to Melbourne (60m) and then wait another 90mins before police boarded the plane. Lucky it wasn't an emergency. Not quite as bad as the pathetic Lindt cafe seige respomse but seriously our law enforcement command in this country needs a giant rocket up their backsides.

your poorest ever post. ungrateful, spiteful and jealous. -
Club has managed its cap very well to date under PJ. I suspect that will continue.

If people believe that number they believe in the tooth fairy. How about: EFC: "joe, we're sorry about the drug saga so here's what we'll do. We'll pay you $2m as a tax-free ex-gratia payment on the basis that you sign a new contract when it falls due at $2m for 3 years?" JD: "err OK" This scumbag club led the way in salary cap rorts and ATO evasion*. They rorted the cap from 91-96 when they won a flag*. They kept the 1993 flag of course. *In 1996, Essendon were fined a record $638,250 ($250,000 in back tax and penalties, $112,000 for draft tampering and $276,250 for breaching the salary cap regulations), forfeited their first, second and third round picks in the National Draft and were excluded from the 1997 rookie and pre-season drafts after a joint Australian Tax Office and AFL investigation found that they had committed serious and systematic breaches of the salary cap regulations totalling $514,500 between 1991 and 1996, including $110,000 in 1993 when Essendon won the premiership

Wasn't there something to do with CC and Schwab making changes to the players' super or playing payments? They were consipiring to do something like that and the players revolted? Where is that Andrews report by the way??

Some of the guards are really clear and small making them hard to see. I'd be surprised if petracca didn't wear one....

I disagree with this. Goals were being kicked from 50+m. Not sure of the number but a good deal of them from my memory. In that case you want pressure on the ball carrier at the 50-70m mark. In other words there is no point having a bunch of defenders at the 10-20m mark when goals are being bombed from outside 50....

State Govt's pay GST on purchases they make its true but they also receive back all of the GST. The Feds get nothing. ANyway its not a topic for this forum (or any really!)
