That's only 350-400 ppl....and then it would sit on the tarmac for say 10hrs...won't happen
-
Either that or they only stocked 6 thinking they wouldn't score that many !

Melbourne hasn’t won a premiership since 1964 but starved Demons supporters will be buoyed by an unusual statistic that surfaced this week. An inquisitive Demons supporter asked Twitter stats guru Swamp what the longest streak of improving their win total year on year a team had put together. Melbourne has steadily improved since bottoming out with just two wins in 2013, doubling its total in 2014 before winning seven in 2015, 10 in 2016, 12 while just missing the finals in 2017 and 15 this season. Swamp revealed the six year-run did match the record shared by Geelong (1958-63) and West Coast (2001-06). The icing on the cake? Both those teams won premierships in the sixth year of their streak. Start dreaming big, Dees fans.

That includes finals as did Goldstein. Max also has the record for H & A at 1000

Mitchell put him down 60m off the ball. Stupid act. Did he go down too easily. Possibly but why do it that far off the ball?

"hey guys, we are going out in straight sets just like we did in 2016!" Bwaha ha hah ahaha
-
He is so frustrating. We had 15 kicks directly to the opposition in the first half and he did 3 of them I believe. Did a lot of other things that were really good but has to get rid of some of the brain fades. One day he will bust out and kick 6 goals. Lets hope it is against west coast.

Yeah but he's tired and needs a rest....

Hwathorn out in straight sets twice in the past 3 seasons. 2016 and 2018. So sweet.

What's going on at the Swans?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
jnrmac replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is one of 2 key issues. 1. The club receiving the player loses nothing except salary cap space. 2. The club losing the player - often a bottom club - receives a compo pick if its a RFA - but that gets them another junior. Maybe they need as well extra list space to recruit an older play a la Hodge or Lewis... Heard Hocking on the radio talking about PPicks and he said they are a 'sugar hit'. Said to look at the rebuild at melbourne as to how to handle it. A 'whole of club' approach. It looks like the new blueprint... -
Get there early and head to the Robbie Flower bar on level 4 MCC Where else would you want to be?
-
Most of my experience with Dion is his junior football so clearly out of date. The few times I have seen him at Casey have been OK but nothing stand out. Agree that Green should be a reasonable test.
-
I watched jetta pretty closely when he was a rookie. He definitely had something. I haven't seen much of DJ but nothing I have seen indicates there is a future for him. CLearly he could improve dramatically but you need to see something. The fact he has been on a list for 2 years doesn't automatically mean we have to persevere with him. Otherwise our list would be clogged with players just hoping they would improve to AFL standard. What have you seen from DJ that indicates there is a future for him? That's the discussion really.
-
The boys know what to do. Confident of a reasonably comfortable victory.
-
I wasn't comparing DJ to Weideman. Spargo is a simlar size to DJ if you need it spelled out. Spargo has impacted in his first year DJ looks nowhere near it and coming to the end of his first contract. Its not that hard.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Semi Final
jnrmac replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
They have dropped Ceglar so I suspect they will concede some hitouts but have more run and carry. Mirra killed us at Casey a few weeks back so is on good form but I think he is still a fringe player... Pressure is what we have to bring. Don't let them get their kicking game together. -

As much as I like that they have just re-signed OMac so its unlikely you would think... -

Need to hold on to the ball as long as possible until the right option presents itself... -

Stratton OMearra and Ceglar out. Shoey Duryea Mirra in.... -
Its the way of life mate you'll have to get used it. Richmond have 100k supporters and maybe get 20k tickets to a GF. Fact is if you want a guaranteed finals ticket you have to pay for a higher class of membership. A regular membership won't do it.

It took Spargo none.

I can only liken it to a previous wearer of No 4 that didn't do physical contact.......has all the skills but desire and intent can't be taught...
