What amazes me is that they haven't worked out how to make our home games on the royal birthday and Anzac eve on opposite years - we currently have 2 massive money spinners in one year and zip in the next makes absolutely no sense

Was zoned to Hawthorn - played all my rep footy there and under 15s/17s - when they disbanded the comp to start the u18s comp.... stupidly declined the invite to train at Toorak the following year - thought yr12 was more important... every single bloke who went there was drafted... a couple of them (certain twins) are still senior coaches..... Got yelled at by a certain hard nosed coach named Yabbie - for being bent over vomiting at training.... after doing what I thought was the biggest gut running session of my life. "YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT AT HAWTHORN DOING THAT....." [censored] I hate Hawthorn. With a passion (Although was actually pretty cool that Dipper and Dermie and Tucky and a couple of the other superstars would often come down and train with us before the seniors came out proplerly) The success there in that era really was incredible, very jealous of the 80s for them. Hate them. Being at optus in 2021 for the Granny with my then 8 year old son, the decades of relief well and truly made up for the pain of watching Hawthorn up close and personal [censored] Hate them

Got the upgrade as well. Was a trident member 10 years ago when it was just the Betty cuthbert bar side. - then moved up to qld. Returning last year could only get the demon seats in the southern stand. Looking forward to hassett/Ryder room pregames this year 😁

I like it A lot. Was there today for the first day of the new monthly craft markets in be middle of the track (wife has an earring business side hustle and goes to various markets). It's a cracker venue. Easy to access. Heaps of room. Heaps of current facilities for social functions - that are really underutilised. Not in the MCG precinct but close enough to it for the average SE suburb Demon supporter

Last time I lived in Melbourne - I was trident club. Hanging out at the Betty Cuthbert Bar. Was good. Moved interstate (again) and went back to country/interstate member. Moved back to Melbourne the start of this year - best I could get was Demon seats in the Shane Warne Stand. They're OK. But would much rather be back where I used to be :( Membership team have me waitlisted...... bloody annoying 🙄 and unlikely to change I'd reckon after the rise in Memberships now that we kinda good these days

Just goes to show and remember that the rest of the season is just prep work for September. Need to get the game plan right through the year while winning enough games for top 4. Getting the squad fit at the pointy end Making sure you have enough guys running through the team through the year for every scenario - I called for JVR to play against Nth Melbourne, reason being he wasn't going to blooded in the lead up to September and it proved a bridge too far to debut him in finals ( despite Brisbane doing that exact thing in wek1).
