  1. I think some people need to take 2 steps back and a couple of deep breaths re: Icke's statement yesterday about the McLean Deal. After this deal Melbourne have: #1, #2, #11, #18, #34, #50, #66 Carlton have the following: #27, #43, #59, #75 Carlton are just trying to score Pick #34 out of Melbourne (most likely as a swap for #43) - but it will obviously try to swap their picks #59 and #75 up to Melbournes #50 and #66 because Melbourne won't be using these picks. So Melbourne would use #1, #2, #11, #18, #43 and still have a pick for the PSD Carlton would use #27, #34, #50, #59, #66. capish?
  2. They have reportedly offered Carlton Pick #9 for Sean Hampson. If that deal can't be done - then they are going to target Mark Jamar, according to the article.
  3. *cough* *cough* http://forums.demonland.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=270838
  4. Straight swap for Michael Rischitelli from Brisbane. Lock it in Eddie.
  5. Most footballing journo's agree that Carlton is tipped to land him given that they've already conducted all the leg work. Contratry to popular beleif, some clubs accept "lesser" offers in order to appease players who may be contracted already, and/or have served the club well. Everitt fits into category one. He WILL NOT stay at the Dogs - they are trying to make cap space.
  6. Brock McLean was on SEN this morning and spoke about how Davey was desperate to get his brother across to Melbourne last year.
  7. IMHO he hasn't shown that he can play in the backline. He is best suited to a wing/loose man - where he can use his biggest assets: his run and carry. One on One - he is terrible as he hasnt got the strength.
  8. Update: 3 Horse race atm with Carlton, Melbourne and St Kilda. Saints looking to offer their 1st round pick. Carlton offering #27 - however are offering the better monetary terms (suprise suprise) and is tipped to be favourite. Melbourne in talks with Andrejs Management - possibly Pick #18 on the table.
  9. Freo will pick him up with whatever they get for Tarrant//or West Coast will snap him up with their 2nd round pick. Lock it in.
  10. Was a fantastic junior who suffered injuries in a pre-draft car accident. Has overcome those now (although I beleive he's lost his mojo) and now battles with consistancy.
  11. Dont get me wrong .. I don't want it to seem that I'm being harsh on Serhat. But there are aspects of his game that need rapid improvement: For example, Robertson ran off Temel three times - before Serhat decided to follow him. It's the little things like this that youtube recruiters tend to miss. He missed the Vic Metro side for 2 resons: *The Coaches were not impressed with his attitude. *He wrote himself off in the rooms before one of the intra club practice games trying to do a handstand (true story lol). However, he's improved thus far, so perhaps he can improve more. ... or he could be the next Fev.
  12. Serhat Temel will be a 3rd/4th Round/Rookie selection. Good mark, good kick, good size ... but they are outweighed by: lack of speed off the mark, no footy brain. Serhat needs to learn when to lead properly and that you cannot just sit in the goal square and call for the ball when your team mate has it on the wing. Seems a decent prospect though.
  13. Serhat needs to work on his acceleration if he's to become damaging at AFL level. ATM if it was a race over 100 metres between Temel and an iceberg, I'm not sure who I'd be backing.
  14. Hey all, For those who have their hearts set on Talia at Pick #11 - I'd be making other plans. The reason Carlton gave up Pick #11 was because that they identified Talia will be gone (either to the Hawks, Power or Bombers) before selection #11, and they weren't prepared to overall for Griffiths (who looks set to miss the majority of 2010 already).
  15. Carlton are holding an emergency board meeting on Monday to discuss Fev's future - at this stage it seems as though they will keep him on board (they'd be mad to lose him IMHO), but in the slight chance that he was told to pack up and leave, I imagine being younger than Bradshaw - he would attract more interest.
  16. Take your point, But Everitt also has issues of run ins with Rocket (along with his buddy Jarrad Grant). I beleive they re-signed him solely so that they could not lose him for nothing. ie. they intended to float him around during trade week all along.
  17. He just signed a new 2 year deal with Carlton - but given the theme of trade week so far, that obviously means nothing. I wonder what he'd be worth on the open market.
  18. FYI - Brock passed his medical yesterday at Visy Park.
  19. Fisher is definatley on the out - he was promised games that he never received. Fisher is on the table for the Saints. Carlton are looking to trade him for McGuire.
  20. Melbourne are going backwards if they're thinking about trading or picking up any of these 2.
  21. Thats all well and good - but the Bulldogs WANT and NEED to trade him off to accomodate Barry Hall. So it is almost the same scenario as if he were uncontracted.
  22. OK I'll cut to it - I've heard that it's Garland. But I wouldn't classify him as a "star"
  23. I'll give a cryptic clue .. his Christian name starts with a "C" and he hasn't expressed a desire to leave just yet - but he's being aggresively sought after by another Melbournian club.
  24. The problem with this is that Andrejs wants to play for Carlton. I'm sure the Bulldogs would happily take #18 over #27 (I mean .. who wouldnt?) But the personal financial offer put forth to Andrejs by Carlton has him keen.
