Trade Targets
I must've missed this! Any chance of a link?

Trade Targets
Yeah it definitely feels he's been around a far bit longer than what he has. Great player with talent and diverse range of competencies.

Trade Targets
Not sure I'd say spectacularly bad. The Dawes trade wasn't fantastic, where we sent Pick 20 and 45 and received Dawes and 58 in return, though I'd say that was more because of the career that Dawes had with us in the end. Would it have been slightly different in Clark worked out for us? Maybe, but who knows. Probably the only trade that wasn't great was the four way trade with us, Collingwood, Port and Adelaide. Where we received Ben Kennedy, Pick 29 and 50, and gave up Howe and Toumpas. Outside of that the only other trades I can think of are the Paul Ridley trade, Lumumba and Clark to Geelong, and then Grundy. I wasn't necessarily a critic of the Grundy trade either, it just didn't work out and I think we were partially to blame - I wasn't necessarily unhappy with the trade per se.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
- What role did Alan Richardson play?
Missing the mark with this one mate.- Trade Targets
In addition to Wilson who would be one of my top targets, McCreery would be another player in my top 2 -3 in terms of a current wish list. He would add significantly to our forward line; this year he's currently ranked 19th in the AFL for tackles inside the forward 50 (ranked as elite this year, as well as over his career), and he can hit the scoreboard. Given goals aren't necessarily his biggest contributing factor, he is a player that would really increase our forward 50 pressure and he is able to play as a linking player outside of the D50 and bringing the ball into the F50. Personally think he can actually also hold a mark, unlike many of the players we have moving through the forward. He's still only 24 too. CONTRACTED Collingwood premiership star Beau McCreery is the subject of significant trade interest, with rivals believing some Pies players are disgruntled by the club’s recent recruiting raids.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?

- The Kalani White Thread (F/S)
KW is interesting. I'm very hopeful we get him and it seems like a fait accompli at this point, but in a lot of the Power Rankings products across various bodies, he doesn't seem to even fall within the Top 50; so to see him mooted as falling potentially in the 20 - 40 band is surprising. I haven't watched really anything from the state leagues nor the various talent leagues, so this is potentially somewhat of a naïve view and I'm happy to take the advice of more seasoned posters on this though. Also, given my interpretation is that if he is falling in the 20 - 40 range includes the dearth of current Academy picks and F/S selections (outside of KW), it really seems his value would inflated.- Simon Goodwin Sacked

I'm in this park too. I suspect there may be quite a few departures now. A new coach won't have sentimentality and attachment.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I'm nowhere near as adverse to NB as some. In fact, I'd have him at the top of my list (potentially with Horse) in terms of coaches with previous experience. I think he has an extremely good grasp of the modern game, and was unlucky in 2018 not to come away with the W.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Aware there's far more credentialed posters on here who may have some idea, but last week I was hearing that if Goodwin left, Hinkley could be the man for the job. Alternately, if we didn't go down the Hinkley path we may look to go with an unproven appointment (read: no senior coaching credentials). Would likely require more validation on this.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Haven't we had enough of the boys club?- Simon Goodwin Sacked
Absolutely, some people are trivialising and underselling just how much a nail in the coffin that result was for Goodwin. It was horrendous and there's no point in passing it off as anything else.- Trade Targets
I'm a big fan and a player I'd readily take in the red and blue. Would definitely assist in correcting some deficiencies we have. But I haven't seen us linked with him at all anywhere, apart from a dodgy 'X' post from an unvalidated 'trade' page (and I use that term very loosely).- Simon Goodwin Sacked
Educated guess, but I would suspect the softcap has a lot to do with it given we've paid out Goodwin. I'm unsure how lateral movements factor in though, with regard to softcap TEPs.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
Yeah, I'm thinking that the writing on the wall r.e Voss forced their hand to move now, as opposed to end of season. I agree, three weeks can be huge in getting the ball rolling with recruitment, although it's likely there are already some identified targets.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
I can't speak to the reasoning. Educated guess but potentially linked to the softcap? Either way, we'll have a new Football Department head ('GM of Football Performance'?)- Simon Goodwin Sacked
Richardson is out but will still be at the club.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
I'd suspect it'll be presented as "After discussions, Simon agreed it was best to move on immediately, so the club and staff can best prepare for the upcoming offseason..."- Judd McVee Contract
Definitely laughing way too hard at this, well played.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
The writing on the wall has been there since the end of 2022. I'd argue the W/L column of 22 - 23 plastered over the cracks; the results are there in 24 - 25 r.e Goodwin. It is an undignified exit for him though, but it's well and truly past the time to move on from him. - What role did Alan Richardson play?
