  1. lololololol, yeah I probably could have just said big footy rather than DB to be honest now I think about it.
  2. Damian Barret on Trade Week radio.
  3. Thoughts exactly. But as I've said before I have a feeling we may keep Martin now it appears that Rivers will be lost.
  4. Can someone confirm that Morton has requested a trade? Rumour doing the rounds at work but can't find anything. Maybe he's hoping to replicate his brother!
  5. I like Dawes, sure his year this year wasn't that great but he had a very serviceable 2011 and an excellent year in 2010. He provides a genuine big body, and when he is on song he is a dangerous target. He could also decrease our reliance on Clarke, and enable us to have a genuine big bodied decoy forward, secondary target. It certainly sits a lot better than using Rivers in this role. FWIW I believe Martin will stay by the way for those who are saying we could offer him up in the upcoming trade period. Can't see Martin going anywhere now that Rivers seems to be all but gone.
  6. Glad Dunn is a stayer. A lot of people write him off year after year, but he's one of the only blokes that plays with a bit of guts. Sure he's not the classiest or most skilful player, but he provides a contest and can roost it when needed. Uses his body pretty well too. Only knock on him is that he can play for the free, hopefully we won't see to much of it next year. Genuine player and has a role in this side.
  7. This is nothing more than a teenage boys wet dream. Fanciful thinking at its best. Just because he has a relation with Neeld and Brown, doesn't mean we will get him. It's along the lines of Judd barracked for Melbourne so we're a chance to get him. He's in the Pies best 22, a walk up start, and it's not like the Pies will be out of contention next year. Especially if Cloke leaves he'll be demanding more at Collingwood, and will get it. If you ask me that's the only reason he's put talks on hold.
  8. People are out of their minds if we think we will snare this bloke. But we can hope.
  9. Not really, sports scientists knowledge is all pretty similar. Energy systems, movements and movement analysis is all the same. Coaching, yeah that's different, largely due to the skills. But if you look at most widely respected conditioning staff and sports scientists they have worked in a variety of fields. Oh, and how does training intensity, in the gym, differ from code to code? I think you've missed the point here.
  10. I've heard exactly the same thing. One of my uni lecturers is support staff at the storm and he told me this earlier on the year. He said the way they train is an absolute joke, no intensity etc. He said Watts is a joke (don't shoot the messenger, I like the bloke), and that they could not believe how they take their training sessions.
  11. Yeah, car won't start so need to wait around for that. Always happens at the worst times.
  12. Cloke to the Dees and as a result Fev to the Pies in the Rookie draft.
  13. I haven't been reading a lot of threads on here, but why are people going on the assumption that we're going after Chapman?
  14. Out at Circus until 6am. Draw your on conclusions. Don't see how some people are saying its a hefty suspension.
  15. Agree. Basically my short view of it is that yesterday still highlights how far behind the comp we are. And yes I am aware of the outs before I get stuck into! But any other side would have beaten us yesterday. Guess that win proves that we're ahead of Richmond though? Seeing we did what they couldn't. Trololol.
  16. FWIW it was his first game back in God knows how long. I wouldn't judge him on that game, still have hopes for the fella. See what he can do next year and hopefully a full preseason under his belt.
  17. Okay I didn't hear what Walls said, and I don't particularly like but I have to agree. While I was happy to come out with the four points I didn't think we were particularly good. Lots of errors and poor skills. The score probably wasn't indicative of our control on the game but I truely think that even in our position we should have come out with a bigger winning margin.
  18. Very sad news. Was a true fighting spirit and gave it all he had. Thoughts and prayers are with his family. Can't even begin to think what they're goin through right now. You're legacy will live in Jim.
  19. Hey guys, haven't read through this d so not Sure if it's been mentioned but a mate at work said it was reported in the Hun that melb were not looking to draft in the preseason or rookie draft? Surely he's had his wires crossed as we still have guys training with us and room on the rookie list?
  20. Hardly claiming that it will happen, thus the reason for posting it in the 'rumour' thread.
