They’ve responded to my posts recently, and when I respond back they basically dismissed everything I said in four or five words, didn’t provide any counter or discussion and essentially, deduced reasonable debate and discussion to ‘I don’t need to provide reasoning, I don’t agree’. It’s beyond arrogant and frankly pretty baffling you’d join a football forum and then not want to engage in reasonable discussion and debate.

It’s probably been mentioned, but if we lose McVee I’d be making all the calls through to Starcevich. Hell, we could absolutely use him even if JM stays.

It's not binary and you can't have one, without the other. I agree there are huge issues at the Club; from the current football department, to the playing list and right down to the lack of a training base. But Goodwin is inherently part of that problem - and a massive one at that.

Most of the overseas sports are, it's a quintessential 'Australian' (almost AFL centric) hang-up that you should just preserve in the face of poor results. Multiple examples that we could sight on the overseas sporting front.

Interesting view. I must say, heading into this season I was of the view that we should move Petracca and retain Oliver, as Oliver was likely of more benefit to us long-term; think output, age and role. But that has completely inverted this season. Oliver is miles off his best and I'm not sure he'll ever get back there. Petracca seems, at least to the outside viewer, bought back in to the Club and has been rather reasonable this season. He's been far closer to his best than that of Oliver. I'd be very surprised if Oliver wasn't in the red and blue next season though. His form has nosedived and the contract is likely to be far too much of an obstacle, especially with his current demonstrated output on gameday. I wouldn't necessarily be adverse to moving both of them on, but I suspect both will be with us next season.

Astute point. RL is a widely underrated tactician. I'm sure this will receive the obligatory 'vomit' and 'laugh' reactions, but what I would give to have someone of his calibre in charge of our list...
