P*ssed off I didn’t star this topic. I’ve been thinking this for a while. I've seen "nothing" in dean to suspect he will be a good coach. Can anyone name a player that has "flourished" under DB? Mick can bring this to the table. Takes no [censored] from no-one, Will shoot you down in a flash & demand the best and get results. Surprisingly that "Competitive Edge" so need.s Bailey will bring himself undone if he doesn’t come up with a game plan quick. I just hope it’s not at the expense of any players, members or prospect members.

Did anyone notice how Dawks structured their forward line at bounces? I saw it quite a few times and i though it worked effective. (anything would've today)

Out: Dunn Bruce (Draw the line! If you dont perform your out!Having said that Davey is close if not for our FD inability to coach) Jones (poor decision making thats just not needed. Sorry Jones back to Casey for a few.) In: Stef. If fit we need him. Colliewobbles are bigger bodies than Dawks, and we need him to get to packs and contest! Maric. He is part of our future and needs weekly game time. I'm happy to sacrifice experience for this guy. Will work nice with Green. Slvia. Fit and raring to go! Sylvia adds to both our forward midfield, brings hardness, grunt and cannons! Spencer is needed, regarless of if Martins in. Jolly and Fraser in with another "Fit" ruckman could kill us. Miller is close to being drop on "performance based reasons" though we need a target. Its going to be a hard game.

Why no one went in and remonstrated when Roughy took Scully (what a gun!! Got up and kept going!!!) We just need to show something!!! Too say we played the first half poorly and not the last half is beyond a joke. Thank God "Greeny" came back, i love this guy, always puts in 100% is classy and can kick goals... I worked out what our game plan was. To go in with the game plan that we had and stick to it no matter what. Not many players had passes today. On the positive we do have players to come in. Its a hard truth but a flag is a long way off. This core of 30 players need to play realistically 80+ games together which with injuries and players being delisted or traded(Eg,Dunn,Bate&Miller(?)) will be 5 years. Finals in 2011 and work from there. Why did our tackles not "stick"... Why did Dean Bailey not to go off his rocker today? Is it he has set us up to lose. game to win and not just be "competitive". What i mean by that is. Play our young players, i'm alll for this, though dont play them out of position, and if they are getting betten look to one of our older more experienced guys to shut down that player. The FD is responsible for throwing "Strausy" in the deep end and leaving him there. Doesnt do much for his confidence i'd think. Why did we have no "accountability"..

Please Explain? Why Davey did not start in the centre? Why at some stage of the day wasn’t he put on the ball? He is our “Best” Player. No Impact today very Sad. Why “Frawls” takes the kick outs? Why Spencer is put “deep” in the forward line when he can’t mark? Is it to “bring” the ball to ground? Not good enough. Why Jamar didn’t spend time “Deep” in the forward line? Bomb the ball long, he has 80 more chance marking it than miller. Dawks were down a Ruckman we should have exposed them. Why Miller can’t take one grab marks? Why Bruce got a game? He looks unfit and struggled to run. (I thought) Why he doesn’t take his first option an dispose of the ball before he’s under TOOOOO much pressure. Why do we not man up on our players. We were smashed by uncontested marks. Is it a Zone? Are we supposed to allow them to get possession? (That’s what it felt like.) I was always taught that “Man Up” was to find a man and stand as close to him as you can that you can put your finger up his bum!! Grab his jumper, stand on the corridor side to stop them from leading in. Has this changed? Why Bate and Dunn let me down when i talk them up to other supporters. (see u guys) Why Bate can’t Bounce? Why Scully and Trengove were pick No 1 & 2. -  Oh yeah Today was why; Composure, Footy Smarts, Can Hit a Target, Can Run. Now we just need the “TEAM” to protect these guys, while they do their work. Why we don’t Sheppard? Why don’t you see any “MFC” player doing what Kennedy done for his team mate, took out Slyvia to protect his player. We have no hardness. Can’t wait till Slyvia is back, he’ll show Em! Why we were outnumbered at all one on ones.................. Why we didn’t run......Apart from chase Dawks Ass’ all day. Why we didn’t draft a Forward in the PSD.

I don't believe they will fast track Watts. Ifs his fit they'll play him. Ifs he's underdone, they'll rest him. They will not jeopardize burning him out. Jurrahs injury will not have anything to do with it. I'm not sold on we should have pick up a forward with our PS Draft, just NOT JD. Jurrahs Injury does however give players such as Newton (Aarrhhhh), Martin, Dunn, Jetta, Maric, Fitzpatrick, MacNamara can cement a spot in the side. I think Dunn will be used as Jurrahs replacement, Its about time he stepped up. Anybody think Garland? Sometimes injuries bring players out of the woods when they get they opportunity to shine, with exception to Newton , My two cents. Go Dees :)

What a waste of a game. There were some deplorable decisions by most players throughout the night. Think the players need to do more than just "try". They really lacked intensity. We were out muscled and out ran by a better opposition, a switched on Fremantle can be dangerous. Our 50/50's was shithouse. Dee's really let us all down. We could've been like KANGAS are today, positive news, clubs going forward, look at our rookies, etc. Could've had an extra 5k supporter possibly from a good performance. It's hard enough drumming up memberships without them putting up "performances' like last night. On a positive, Miller kick 2 goals, Frawls was Solid and Green gave his all.

Not Sure why AFL are digging a bigger hole for themselves, they may come out looking bad. Look at ALL the drinking related incidents from ALL clubs and there's a much bigger picture. I pretty sure the AFL puts all players through they're drug and alcohol policy, obviously they need re gigging. (just a tad) Some "consultant" probably advised them to report it. Maybe the AFL are to blame here. Do the AFL have much say in the players penalties from incidents outside of the footy field? (Bet ya they'd love too...Control Freaks!!)

Keep It. Add a potential KP player. We have enough Stars in our Mid. I actually feel ok about this.

Hard call. Will they play Blease, Strauss, Scully (cough), ??? (cough). What happens to Petterd, Jetta, Dunn, Bennel. We have so many good players coming through its sad to see some may just miss out. I think we will go with experience (pending on fitness) until we can guage where MFC sits in 2010. HAving said that, I can see us winning 8-10 games with this line up: Bennell Garland Warnock McDonald Rivers Morton Moloney Mclean Davey Petterd, Bate, Green Jurrah, Watts, Woona, Int Frawley, Grimes, Bruce, Martin I actually don't think this will be to far off....

I ran into JM in the street today before i heard the announcement, assuming he was playing on i mentioned how happyI and fellow members where that James was playing on (as there was no farewell in round 22). He said he'll go around one more time. (meaning MFC will definitely need a captain in 2011, unless he goes around one more time) Interesting. He also mentioned about the huge amount of talent we have. I can see Davey captaining the club in the future. Regardless of who they pick we WILL have a fine leader for our next premiership regardless who they pick. Really look at our choices; Mclean, Davey, Molloney, McDonald. Not too mention who we have coming through our ranks; Grimes, Sylvia, Morton. Future is Bright. Congrats to James, A true Leader of our club.

McKenzie and Jamar look set to miss out. Leaves Zomer and Buckley. I was at Morwell on the weekend and watch the game and though Zomer was very good, I think he can add some Physical presence. Buckley tried to be explosive though fumbled, got caught or made poor disposals. Wheres Watts at the moment?

Great to See the performance of al players today. Very upset with our coaching staff especially DB. Ridiculous match ups lost us the game. Does any Supporter turn up to a game to see MFC Lose? I was so disappointed when we lost. And I’d blame 1 person, Dean BAILEY! I know we were down to 1 on the bench, though putting Warnock in the FF was clearly Tanking. DB cannot use only having 19 fit players as an excuse when the players he had were quite capable of playing in their proper positions. Miller, Newton, PJ in the fwd line. Jetta, Davey PJ & Newton would have been our best fwd options. Warnock then would be left to control the back line, LIKE HE IS PLAYED TOO. Bruce should have been in the centre, to relieve some pressure of Davey. I'm Very [censored] with DB and Co. On the plus side: Good Job to Valanti, Spencer, Grimes, Cheney all did a great job. Grimes is an absolute superstar and has future captain written all over him. Tough, Courageous, Top Skills, decision making, the LOT!! I'm going to go and watch DB press conference and see what excuse he comes up with. If he keeps going like this I don’t think a lot of people will put up with it. I'm still amazed by those decisions.... Surely if PP is all we are after, then we're on our way to the much prized pick... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........................

Would consistent be "2 goals"? mid sized not a key position? I think he's capable of this. Maybe more, he takes a good grab, kicking needs to improve from set shots.

Our ability to play with high intensity for 4 Quarters will determine whether we win or not. Sylvia out means someone needs to step up. Throw Grimes in, Replace Grimes with Watts for some experience for him. I don't believe MFC would "TANK" for picks, we're too PROUD for that. I Don't think i want to be associated on the same page as Carltank. Bailey and the ENTIRE playing team will always be playing to win. We proved this when we bet Carltank. Proofs in the pudding. LIST MANAGEMENT is an interesting view to take. At the moment in the public eye, NO ONE is really expecting MFC to win 1 if anymore games. (AFL Reporters, Commentators, Demonland Members are excluded from the list) Wouldn't really worry anyone if we did play a few more up and coming players, would seem as a positive. I expect every player to put in 110% to WIN as soon as he dons his jumper. Any player otherwise doesn't deserve to be playing. Port are starting to click and breaking into the eight will mean they are going to bring there A TEAM and GAME. They will want to try and cement a spot in the eight. It will be tough. Draft picks or No Draft picks I Want MFC to be "competitive" Win, Lose or Draw.

Selopek is a great player, smart footballer. Think his from Narre Warren (Casey.....), could be a good signing. Thinking that we could have a few senior players leaving us its not a bad idea, experience, class and leadership. I worry that losing too many of our older players and not having enough experience to still "compete".. Just a thought. I believe he will be in the right age bracket to warrant targeting him. Not sure whether it would be worth trading picks, not yet... Obviously we have to wait until Trade time, its a long way away, Anything could happen. "Bailey" would be the best to ask having just come from there!!! Interesting........

Guys, Good source Buckley is out for the season with a groin. He's also not to sure about his contract next year. WTF, Sign Him Demons!

Buckley has a groin injury, out for the year. Very good source says he's not sure if melbournefc will offer another contract.... Very Sad if this does not happen. I'm seeing improvement from Bate, he should be playing as a fwd from the word go. Watts should be playing of bf/bp, similar to a S.Hill role, he wont get towered and will give him a chance to improve. Dissapointed with development of Newton, Petterd. Newton needs to develope his footy brain better, get in better positions, attack harder. Petterd, Great mark for size, Can kick a goal, though i think he lacks the intensity to be playing AFL. Other than that i think its going to be a long and tough road. I don't expect to see much for the rest of the year. The only thing i can see is our more senior guys moving over for more of our DP. I don't believe our list needs to be stripped, we have some pretty impressive players, we just need to give them time. Go Dees.

PLEA TO PLAYERS: HARD EARNED WIN! Thats all we need to put weeks of pain to an end. The excitement leading up to the game, The week ahead, what we are going to do to overcome our opposition. The IN's, The Outs, The WHY's and WHY NOT's. Then the "Bounce" The most anticipated time of my WEEK, then it hits....... Some positive UP's lead by Down's, I stay positive telling myself we'll be like hawks in few years. Then the FAT LADY sings, and i have some anger yet i understanbley accept the fact that our side is regularly made up of 16 or so players that have played under 50 games, and will only get better. (Morton, Grimes, Watts, Jurrah, Bennell, Cheney, Jetta, Garland, Frawley, who can forget Wonaeamirri, with the likes of Strauss and Blease and others to come, I'd say we're on the right track). ENOUGH ABOUT PREVIOUS WEEKS: THIS WEEK, JUST WIN - Hard Earned, give it 110%. Run Hard, Tackle Ferocious, honor leads; he has beat his man, reward him. In turn you'll be rewarded. RUN that extra step to SMOTHER the ball, we'll know what that is, It can TURN a game. Shows his team mates he wants to be on the field. Reward running with smooth hand passing, accurate kicking and a pat on the back for the ONE PERCENTER'S; a Shepard, a smother a third man up. Going 110% of the time at 1% can help win games. Don't ever think your too far away from a player, go over, help your team mate. Create Pressure which create errors, poor disposals which leads to turnovers, which leads to opportunities at GOALS. If your 60 out and running into a crowded forward line, have a dance run in and slot it through, EXECUTE. Be positive that you will kick the goal!! Run Run Run, Create SPACE on the field. Corridors GREAT, but be QUICK, KNOW what your going to do and EXECUTE. You ALL have the ABILITY to be among the elite in the competition, you have your opportunity. Its YOU or someone else............(interesting, when i put it like that..) Don't Drop your Head's, be proud to play for your club. If the other team scores, learn, regroup and get one back. This may take patience, But it'll be worth the while. The Ball Is yours, go earn it and show us your Skills. Why YOU have been picked to showcase your skills for the MelbourneFC in this great game of AFL. Consistently do them for FOUR Quarters and you will be Stars, potential Premiership Players. I think that is our Game Plan, we just don't execute it. Too often we get bogged down by slowing it down or we don't have the players taking the game on. Jetta, Grimes, Bennell, Slyvia are starting to do this, Davey included, i feel we're being let down by our more experienced players. Week after week i read our "leadership" players come out and say "we're going to do this, going to that" though its these very players letting us down with poor disposals, failing to make a contest and constantly giving away silly free kicks. (sorry for the vent) Melbourne play better football when there moving the ball quickly. When i watch them play i notice after a few errors of poor disposals the team gets into this defensive mode until a player like Davey can spark them. Baileys plan will work, i believe like him It is a consistency thing. The ability to hit the target time after time, they all the skill, face it they'd cream every single one of us if they were playing in our local. They play AFL, when they kick the ball its all about focusing, doing the same routine; weighing up the receiver, who it is, where's he running, "where can I kick it to MY TEAMS ADVANTAGE!!" Not FIVE meters over his head, NOT Skidding along the ground towards his ankles. Out in front of him. They have really got a space of a 10 meter radius, yet they cant hit it. time after time. Thats whats makes players like Judd superior to Mclean, Moloney, Jnr to name a few.

I Think they will play him as much as possible this year. I heard Robert Shaw say that he has had exams the last two weeks now he has two weeks off. I think he was saying MFC should've waited until this week to play Watts. I think he'll play the next two weeks if he's on holidays. Bailey will want him to experience the away trip. Baileys a firm believer of getting as many games as possible into our youth while still remaining "competitive" and try and WIN games. MFC will all benefit from Watts getting to 50+ Games, with "Caution" the sooner the better i say. Bailey and Co will be cautious with the amount of game time Watts plays and where and "whom" he might play on (Until his body is capabale on going one on one with Darren Glass. The more experience the better he will be regardless of which position he plays in.. Watts will be a Champ. Go Dees

Wont be judging Watts harshly untill his 100th game. He Looked "Unsure" today about when to commit to a contest. He looked to me like he was in this big maze. I Think he done well when he was contesting the footy. I would've liked more attack from him, though he was probably nervous. Any person would be nervous hearing your name being called out at qtr time while your running in to a huddle. I have liked what i seen from him. and Go DEES
