  1. apart from Pert and the three internal candidates in Mahoney, De Crespigny and Chippindall, i wonder who the fifth (other external) candidate was?
  2. Looks like a rugby ball more than a sherrin Where are the stones, or is it BYO?
  3. Looks like i know who i will be voting for in the state election this year then.
  4. And this week's Tattslotto numbers are?
  5. For those who want to access the webpage, click on the link below https://www.facebook.com/supercoach/posts/10155411855306440
  6. Even if we did get Rory, i fear Bernie might not be around to play with him next year.
  7. Lose and we could be equal on points with Cats (bye), Port, Hawks and North. Win and we stay ahead of them.
  8. Peter 'Whopper' Walsh
  9. Might have to tune in to FC on Monday night to see what pathetic excuse Judd trots out this week.
  10. Given that it was The Australian that broke the story and everyone else was left playing catch-up, it's not a stretch to think that some media pundits will have to make some bs outlandish claims to come out of it looking ok (as opposed to sitting on their arses without a [censored] clue).
  11. If it's got AFL backing, if [censored] hits the fan, at least we know they'd help us out. No we aren't a 'big club' nor will we ever be, but with a membership nearing 44,000 and heaps of development left in us, becoming a bigger club financially has to be a non-negotiable. Pert has shown in previous roles he is up to the challenge and isn't daunted by taking on a 'big task'. Has my approval until he [censored] up. Which hopefully won't occur.
  12. So long as all 3 stay on, then we'll continue to have a strong off-field team in place.
  13. ........................or desks.................................or loans from the club.
  14. We won't know if this will be a successful appointment for a few years yet, however, i much prefer a CEO with AFL experience as opposed to the likes of Paul McNamee/Tracy Gaudry coming from other sporting fields. Approved by the AFL (which is still unfortunately a necessary tick), approved by the board and the stand-out candidate in a field of 5, of which PJ would have had the biggest say. Comfortable with this decision, and what's more, it keeps Mahoney firing in his current role as Footy GM (another big tick).
  15. I think we have more important things to worry about at MFC headquarters, than the current circumstances surrounding Watts.
  16. For the time being deefella, we are 8-4. If we are to miss the finals this year, there will be plenty of time for us all to air our MFCSS grievances. But until such point in time, try to stay optimistic.
  17. Yep he's had a horror run. He just doesn't seem to want to be in the game at the moment. Maybe a spell in the Magoos?
  18. Time to bring in Hunt for Bernie? He's not offering much anymore is old Bernie. At least with Hunt there's a bit of pace, something we have severely lacked today.
  19. Smashed in the clearances all day. Lost it in the middle. The back-line have panicked with the amount of ball that has come in non-stop, whilst the forward line hasn't been all too effective with the limited ball that has been in our forward 50.
  20. Who replaces JM as head of footy then?
  21. I don't at all. Had the Dees job on a platter, refused, then decided to adopt the basket-case that is GC. Thank god we didn't appoint that type of ineptitude.
  22. Yeah, the last time we installed a CEO from a different sport was Paul McNamee. Let's stick to those who know football.
  23. Well if revenge for missing the finals isn't enough, surely Goody will be mentioning that second spot is up for grabs on Monday.
